I’ve looked everywhere for a baby swing with one of the hand cranks. Does anyone know of a company that still manufactures these. I don’t really want to get a used one.

I am using PC alot at daily work, and my back hurts every an hour. I always imagine how great it will be if there’s a kind of chair I can lay my back down on it?

It will be even better if the chair goes withe a little movable LCD screen on the top of my head while I am lying down showing the data from my regular PC. That way I can still work while I enjoy a relaxation on my back.

I think it is a very efficient way of working in office, and good to ppl’s health. I will feel really sorry if nothing like this has been invented.

I’m due to give birth October 1st and would like to take my new baby girl with me to my sisters wedding at the end of November. Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to get a newborn’s passport so that I can figure out if I might be able to get her passport in time to take her with me or if I’ll need to get my fiancé to take a few days off from work to stay home with her.

My son just turned 3 years old.. And we were wondering, when do we start using the booster seat and seat belt?? I don’t know how much he has to weigh and the how tall he has to be??

We are thinking about buying one and need to know if a standard car seat would fit.

About a year ago I bought my 2006 ford focus. I am a nanny and just since I bought my car I have started using my car for transportation (to school, to the park….) with the kids. I really want a mimivan but at this point there is no way I can afford to get one. I currently am using a forward facing, five point harness seat for a 3 almost 4 year old and a backless booster for a 6 almost 7 year old in the backseat of my 2006 ford focus. Is there any way I can SAFELY fit another infant / toddler seat in? Is there any certain carseats that will better fit then others? Also my passanger air bag is automaticly turned off when a FORWARD FACING seat is installed in the front seat. I don’t really want to do that but whould that be a safer option? By the way, I do have the parents permission to be using my car.

i want to find them online at stores like target or walmart, and i can’t find any back seat car covers for a corolla. If you know of any other good places to buy car seats, then please share!! thank you!!!

I just got the Fisher Price nature’s touch papasan swing off of Ebay and the seat doesn’t feel firmly attached, it tips right and left whenever i move it. Makes me a little uneasy about putting a baby in it. Anyone else experience this?
the seat leans to the left and right. when it swings looks like he could fall out if it was tilted to the right and visa versa.

Earlier today, as my mom was leaving her parking space, a van truck driver crashed into the left side of the car. (There is a huge dent, a long scratch, the driver’s seat wont completely go in, and a part of the car is coming off) The driver should have seen my mother coming out. He was the one that called 911 and soon after, the cops came.

A black lady cop came out to fill out a report from my mother. My (asian) mother, who is not fluent at english, told her to wait for my brother, because she knew she wasn’t able to speak well enough to give a thorough account of her story. As she began dialing the phone, the lady cop showed a face of disgust and promptly left. Meanwhile, the (black) van driver was able to give his full account of the story, and it is obvious he is going to show some bias.

When my brother arrived at the scene of the accident, (10 minutes later), he was unable to speak with the lady cop. (the one giving the report) I am disgusted and outraged at how the cop treated my mother.

Because our insurance rates are going up, my dad is revoking my mom’s car privileges, (My mom has had no prior accidents to this one) and selling the car. This is sad and unfortunate for my mother, but I would like to ask 2 questions.

1) Can my mother still give an accurate report, or is that option now gone?
2) Can my mother file a complaint about the cop who treated her with disrespect?
*And where would she be able to do this?

My daughter is 17 months old, and she’s recently started biting other kids when they get in arguments over toys. Twice now she’s broken the skin of other kids. The day care is extremely scared of liability, so they sent her home for this week, which is very difficult as my wife and I both work and have no family or back-up day care in this area. Now they’re willing to take her back, but if she bites like this again, they say their going to kick her out. So I have two questions:
1) Have you had this situation (the biting) and how did you resolve it?
2) Isn’t it a bit extreme to kick out a 17 MONTH OLD for a pretty normal behavior?

For a little more background, I have two older kids (7 and 9) who never went through this. In fact, they WERE bitten in day care when they were young, and no kid every got kicked out for it. Also, we have always had doubts about the toddler’s teacher and her ability to handle any kind of issue – this has really confirmed it.

Again, read up before you accuse someone of bad parenting.

ANYWAY, to give more details, the biting started with another kid biting her a few weeks back, and now she bites pretty much exclusively out of frustration, and specifically when another child tries to take something from her. She is the only child in her age group who talks, and that’s what she does at home to communicate with us. Since the other kids don’t respond to her words, she’s trying to make her point, especially when she’s being bullied. Hopefully that helps. At home, we really don’t have the opportunity to correct the problem since we use words
One more thing – I do feel terrible about this. My kids have been bitten before (hard!), so I understand how the other parents feel. But never once did it cross my mind that the other kids biting mine should be booted from day care. I knew it was a phase of exploration that kids go through, and I expected the child to get past that phase. I knew that my child might be bitten again, but I felt comfortable enough with that day care’s teachers to know that they would be monitoring things closely (and they were not bitten again afterward by the same child).

I just don’t feel that this day care is doing enough. They did the right thing by having her shadowed once, but afterward all I got was a report of how many times they thought she was trying to bite (that’s when they sent her home for a week).

I believe that the almost 00 a month I spend on this day care is for more than to watch my child – they are there to teach and care for her, too. And this should be included as part of that.

i need to know how much stroller rentals cost at the ridgedale center in minnetonka, minnesota.

I understand there are three different ones. I’m not so sure what the difference is between them. Which would you recommend and why?
