Joggin strollers:?

What kind of jogger is best? What did you buy and why? I’ll be running on pavement mostly.

Do need to wait until my baby is 3 months before I can put her in a jogger?

Thanks! :)

I’m looking for information for a teenager with special needs. The child was recently fitted for a car seat but this car seat is no longer fitting in the back of the families small car. I am looking for a way to help the family transport this child in an emergency. Special needs transportation in our area requires at least 48 hrs notice. Very recently this was a major issue when the child needed to be transported in an emergency. The paramedics transferred to the nearest hospital who could not care for the child ,then the patient had to be transferred to a hospital equipped for the childs needs which took much time. The parents could have taken him by car if they could have had, I believe, a five point harness for this 100+ pound teenager directsitting upright in the backseat. I am seeking information concerning the law in Illinois concerning this and the feasability of this idea.

A friend of mine wants a baby sling — one of those cloths used to hold the baby close to Mom (goes over the shoulder to form a sling). Not sure where to find one. She sent me a link to a store in Westlake that has them for about 0, but I’m looking for something in town and more reasonably priced. (I’m visiting her later this week, so there isn’t time to buy online.)

I’m looking for a double stroller for what will be my newborn and my 18 month old. It needs to be compatible with an infant car seat for the newborn. Also, I don’t care for the strap or zipper recline systems. The Zooper Tango seems to have what I am looking for, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other strollers I may want to consider.

I understand the manufacturer limits on car seats and our legal limits, but I’m curious about when others actually changed their toddlers/preschoolers from a 5 point harness to a booster. Did you wait until they maxed out the harness limits? Did you switch at the bare minimum? Somewhere in between? Why?

What are the requirements for a booster seat?

My son is out growing his car seat and I really don’t want to buy another one if I don’t have too. He will be 3 years old in July and weighs 42 pounds and is 38 1/2 inches tall. He will fit in his car seat for a little longer. I have found a booster seat that is highback with no harness. What are the requirements for him being in a seat like that?

the car seat was just bought and it has those latches that you hook on, but the newer cars have them but my car doesn’t. is there another way to install it?

I want to know how much those two tickets cost

Air bags…?

A research chemist designing an air bag is looking at carbon dioxide as a possible gas for bag inflation. One of the reactions the chemist is working with is the following.

MgCO3(s) —> MgO(s) + CO2(g)

How many grams of magnesium carbonate are needed to produce enough carbon dioxide to inflate an air bag to a volume of 65 L? Use 1.961 g/L as the density of carbon dioxide gas.

Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) is issuing a safety recall for certain Cosco, Maxi-Cosi, and Safety 1st brand child restraints manufactured from May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009. There is a potential for the harness adjustment strap to loosen during use. If this were to occur, the harness may be loose around the child, possibly increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

**Please share on your facebook so your friends are aware if they own any of these seats

http://www.djgusa.com/usa/eng/Safety-Notices/Detail/506-Cosco,-Maxi-Cosi,-and-Safety-1st-Child-Restraint-System-Center-Front-Adjuster-Recall

Oh Zorro we all know you’d just make another kid if you lost one along the way… some moms here only have one and it would take an awfully long time to pop another one out
DJG has a ridiculous amount of recalls, I don’t know how they can still sell car seats. Their products are cheap which leads people to buy them more readily than safer companies that don’t get recalled all the time.

**Stop buying Eddie Bauer, Safety 1st and Cosco!!!!

Peg Perego Primo Viggio in Scion TC?

My mom and I are buying a carseat from my brother and his baby mama. They have the Peg Perego on their registry, but I’m skeptical that it won’t fit their teeny tiny two door car (Scion TC – I think that’s the model). I was trying to explain to her and them that I don’t think it will fit and even if by some miracle it does, it’s going to be too heavy to lift the carseat AND the baby over the seat if they want to leave the baby in the car seat. They’re dead set of this carseat.

My mom bought the car seat already so we want so bad for it to fit, but I’m just so worried that it won’t. Anyone have this car seat with a similiar car? They live out of town and this is a our gift to them so we can’t test it for ourselves. Thanks!

I am about a 2xl, xxl or an 3xl, xxxl and need a baby carrier sling wrap or whatever it’s called for my baby. What are the best brands out there for women/mommies like me?

I just bought an advocate – on it’s way. If you have a britax convertible car seat, which one do you have and which car is it in? Just curious if I will have a problem fitting it in my ford escape.

Also, now the baby will be in a convertible seat with no handle like in the infant carrier, what do you use to hang toys or attach toys. My baby is 7 months old.

Did you have any problems? Do you have any tips? Do you need to use the base? Did you check the stroller?
