Best front facing car seat for air travel?

I need a spare anyways, and my britax is just too much to lug around all the time. I need something for an airplane, and I guess we are taking a bus from there to disney? I’m not entirely sure. I need the best combination of portability and safety. Thanks in advance.

The airlines and the FAA do recommend children to have their own seat with a child safety device for security reasons. Many times the seat belts on airplanes are just too big (no matter how much you tighten them) to securely and properly fasten in the frames of little children. Having them in a CRS (Child Restraint System) helps to protect them during turbulence, makes them feel secure, is more comfortable for both parent and child, and gives both of you the opportunity to relax a bit.
In order to be certified for use on an airplane, the car seat has to met the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Check the labels on the side of your car restraint for a sticker (words will be printed in red) for verification that your seat is safe for airplane use.
Many airlines offer half-price tickets so parents can be guaranteed that their child can travel in a CRS device. You should call your airline to ask for a discount and/or ask what the airline’s policy is for using empty seats.
Here’s a seat for $40 that is light, easy to travel with and gets great reviews. There are no bells or whistles on it but it can then be used as a second car seat for babysitters, grandparents, etc.
