We have 2 Marathons for DD and love them. I know many people and car seat techs who highly recommend the new Evenflo Triumph Advance! They both have similar features and weight limits (both rearfacing and forward facing).

FYI: most carseat techs do not trust Consumer Reports for info on carseats. No one has been able to replicate their crash test ratings, they won't release how they test seats, and they don't have techs install the seats, so there is no way of knowing if they are installed correctly. Plus they factor cost into their recommendations and for me, cost is not an issue when it comes to safety for my child.

Britax does do it's own independent testing and goes past the US required testing (including side impact testing which is not required).

Stay away from the Alpha Omega - it only harnesses to 40lbs and has super low top slots, so will be outgrown VERY early.

Try car-seat.org for more info.
