If you are bringing it on the flight (which u can) they will take it and put it in some safe area in the back until the plane lands. Don't worry! check in at baggage check in. YES you can.

Car seats aren't something most people need in an airport, you either check it in at the check in counter or if it's an airline approved car seat you can use it on the plane. Depending on it's size, you may be able to carry it on, but it may count as carry on baggage. If you don't plan on using the car seat on the plane, why not just check it in at the check in counter?
