No, I’ve never had something recalled (yet) , but that’s totally unprofessional.
I would call them and ask to speak with the individual involved who takes note of all the consumer information and ask why you weren’t informed of the recall and quiz them on how they’re going to make you feel confident in your purchase and submission of your information in case of recall.
If you choose not to purchase from them, I would let them know that as well.
I would ask/demand a total refund of the product.
I had two car seats that were recalled. (Same seat) I received a repair kit and fixed the seats myself…..very simple. Call the company and request a repair kit. Next time you get a new product you can call and register your purchase. This way you KNOW they have your info in case of a recall or something.
