Cars - did any of the '57 Chevy fuel-injected Bel Airs have a floor shifter with a carved out bench seat?

A guy at my high school had a ‘57 Chevy fuel-injected Bel Air. I recall that it had a carved out bench seat for the floor shifter. I don’t know whether a 3-speed or 4- speed, but I remember the carved out seat.
Am I delusional? I’ve watched numerous car auctions on the tube, and every one of them has a straight bench seat.
Help me out.

A carved out bench sit, is not original. Some people when updating the interior added carved seats, buckets, or just slide the sit back
