He currently has the booster with no back , I hate it.. He unbuckles his seatbelt and tries to stand in the car. So im changing seats like today so he can get strapped down by the car seats seat belt also. But what kind would be safe and appropriate for a big 2 yr old

My son is 4 years old and small for his age (about 34 lbs), and he’s always been in a car seat with a five point harness. We have a Britax Marathon and Sunshine Kids Radian. Both seats are solid and heavy with the latch system to attach them to my car. He recently has been complaining that the strap between his legs in the Britax hurts his "wee wee". I’ve tried loosening the straps a bit, but he still complains. I know he’s at the age where the booster seat is an option, but I’m hesitant to allow him to ride in one for safety reasons. I’m afraid the seatbelt won’t sit properly against his waist, cut into his neck, and allow his head to slump when he falls asleep (which he does often on car rides). Are there any seats that have a more suitable five point harness that will fit an older child, or any very safe booster seats that you can recommend? I was hoping they still make booster seats with the latch system to hold the seat in place so it doesn’t slide around in the car when not in use.

He is 4 year old, 39" tall, and 38lbs.
He has a car seat that converts to a booster. He still uses it as a car seat but I remembered his doctor telling me that he could go to a booster at 4 years old. I want to use the safest option. Is a car seat safer than a booster for his height/ weight?
(We just saw his doctor a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to ask.)
I forgot to mention… his car seat converts to a hight back booster and just the regular booster you put on the seat (no back).

Now that it is spring my 7 month maltipoo and I are making more trips in the car (to the dog park.) Up until now on quick trips she usually rides in my lap or the passenger seat and longer trips I put her in a laundry basket. But I am seeking a safer way to make car trips. I have been searching on line but does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for car seats that have worked well you?
Crude comments are not welcome or useful. This is question is specifically about the safety of my dog. I am a proud owner of wonderful maltipoo. I could absolutely care less that she isn’t pure breed; after all I got her to love not to breed. It is not that I mind someone calling my dog a mutt its just those who like to jab those comments in just to be a nuisance is something I don’t appreciate. My twin boys are about 20 lbs and I need to buy front facing car seat for them . I am confused which one to buy. At present they are in infant car seat. I want to buy a car seat which is front facing and then can be converted into booster car seat.

i mean built in cars and also do they make them for older kids like 10-14

We are expecting baby in March and there is no way I can fit 3 car seats in my mazda 6. I was able to do 2 boosters and an infant seat but it was very very tight and I didnt feel good about the security. We will need to fit a newborn, 18month old and a 5 year old in the car. So a booster seat, toddler front facing seat and a infant car seat. Is there a car that will fit these in one row comfortably or do we need to get something with a third row? And if so what would be a good choice. I do not want a minivan or anything big like that.

My daughter is only 25 mo but shes a BIG girl 95% for height and weight shes 40 pounds and shes very tall not sure how tall but shes mistaken for a 4 year old alot. ANd is in size 5T.

Now her car seat i have now is like the 3rd one.. its a car seat but shes growing out of it quick.. i think the next one is a booster?? but i think shes to small hwo do i go about this

My daughter is a year old and I need to get her a new high chair/booster seat. But there are so many to choose from!! I want one that can go with me between houses (I babysit) and that is not too expensive, does not take up too much room but is also comfortable for baby. I want the booster seat type, not the high chair with legs. Which one do you personally recommend??

Safe or unsafe???

I just saw a comercial saying that all children under 4 foot 9 should sit in a booster seat and I read somewhere that shes 4 foot 9 or 10, and i just find this funny. does that mean she should sit in a booster seat?

My son is 2 and a half but he’s almost 38 inches tall and weighs about 37 lbs. Seems like the should straps are getting too tight in his current car-seat on the loosest setting.

My daughter is 13 months and finally ready for a forward facing car seat. I prefer a convertible one so she can use it as a booster seat. The car seat options are daunting and at this point they are all looking the same. What do you recommend?
