The seat belt law has been in effect for quite a few years now. You get a ticket if a cop catches you without one. Children under a certain weight and age have to be in proper child restraints. So…why aren’t they on school buses yet? I just don’t get it.

My cousin just turned 10 years old and is in the 4thh grade…and she is still in a car seat! She is small for her age: only 46 pounds and like 3 foot 6… she obviously hasn’t hit a growth spurt yet and it doesn’t help that she was born a little more than a month pre-mature! But anyways, she told me that some people at school are making fun of her because someone saw her getting into her moms car after school and her mom strapping her into the car seat! My question to you is…isn’t my cousin a little old for a car seat? And I’m not talking about a booster seat! This is a car seat that have like chest restraints one like I sat in when i was 4. Shouldn’t my cousin be in a booster seat my now! What I’m wondering is, is what are the weight limits?
yeah i know and i told my aunt that and she was like yeah i guess ur right and i think she was going to buy a booster seat but the damage is already done…someone already made fun of her at school!
she actually has this one: http://www.target.com/Britax-Ashley-Floral-Marathon-Seat/dp/B0006HBRXQ/qid=1191800624/ref=br_1_9/601-5070559-4897713?ie=UTF8&node=3665421&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1

Ok,
Would appreciate any feedback from lawyers, judges, law enforcement….
Is it illegal for a child under 4 to ride in the front seat even if the child is properly restrained (in car seat and buckled in). I know that it is preferred they ride in the back because that is the safest place but I want to know is it illegal in Florida for them to be in the front.
Thanks in advance for your help.
SACP…I don’t need your smart comments. I didn’t say I had a child riding in the front…I just asked about the law.

On the box it say’s that it includes the car seat but I’m not sure if the base is included as well. I’ve had 3 snug ride car seats for my other children so I know the seat can be used without the base Since box does not specify that the base will be there when I open it I was wondering if I should buy a base while I’m at target as well as the travel system?

I requested a modification of existing child support order.I live in california. On the notice of motion, the Petitioner/Plaintiff is the county where my ex resides.I am listed under the Respondent/Defendant, and my ex is listed under "other parent." First of all, isn’t my ex supposed to be the petitioner? An already completed "request for order and supporting declaration" and "response to governmental notice of motion or order to show cause" forms were attached and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do with these forms. Can someone please share with me step by step instructions regarding what I must do? On the order to show cause form, I believe I’m supposed to respond to the requests the court made in the other form I stated, so if the courts made no requests in orders for the parentage, health insurance, fees, property restraint, do I put that "I do consent to the order requested" or would I leave the box unchecked? They are forms FL-685 & FL 684.I have a hearing date already. PlsHelp
Thank you for your responses everyone. Also, there is a "proof of service by mail" on the other side of the "response to gov notice of motion or order to show cause." When I asked, they said I didn’t have to serve the other parents any documents in the case of modification, but I am required to fill out the form and send it back to them along with the resonse form to show proof it was sent I guess. But, on the form it says that I cannot be a party to this cause. How am I supposed to send it then? I don’t think another person is supposed to send it since I’m the one that’s going to send the other side (the response) to the court. This court stuff is so confusing.

I have the alpha omega car seat for my 2 yr old but I want to keep her in a harness as long as I can and her car seat turns into a booster at 40 pounds with no harness. How long does the nautilus let them stay in the harness?? And would you recommend this car seat?

She uses a booster, but my husband and I have differing opinions on whether or not she should put the shoulder belt in front of her or behind her. Any help!?

to each his own style, right? but this preschool’s style is just…well, i don’t know, too much? they call it ‘seatbelting’. but some kids would cry for a long while because of the restraint. would you know of other schools that do this? it just doesn’t feel right.
i did pull my kids out a couple of months ago. and even managed to coax some of the moms to do the same. but the preschool is still at it and i feel i should do something more.

Hi,
I am looking to purchase an infant car seat like the ones sold in the USA or UK. My preferences are to Graco but similar is good too. Needs to be posted within australia to Birsbane. I can promise it will not be used as a car seat in the car.
If any one knows where I can find one the is a newer release in decent condition can you please point ir out.
Thanks.
