I know child safety seats have expiration dates, but what is the reason/importance of this date? What is likely to happen if you use a seat beyond this date?

I am looking into getting a new car seat for my 8 Month old son. I was looking into the Britax Boulevard, which is 0 +. Now that is really expensive and not sure I am able to buy that. My sister told me about the Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convetible car seat which I found to be only . Does anyone else have the Safety 1st car seat and can tell me anything about it. I am a little torn.

My B/f uses his knee in the car seat and pulls the seat belt as hard as he can to keep the car seat from moving. The little plastic lock end looks like it’s going to break from being so tight. It’s extremely hard to unbuckle whenever we move it. Is it dangerous to have it so tight? Will it fail from being under constant force?

There are 4 wires on the John Deere mower seat switches.
