could anyone tell me how i can get a convertable car seat for free in ft. wayne? my baby needs one BAD! thanks

i dont have a job and my boyfriend is a piece of work and doesnt want to buy her one. i dont know what else to do. my little girl has outgrown the infant seat, i have to scoot her down which makes her legs go up the back seat. can someone help me out, please?

Try your local health department or wic office. They have free or low cost carseats.
Try the local churches, fire and police stations. If they can’t get you one maybe they can direct you to where you can.
try the police station they sometimes have spare. Also insurance companies will have times where they will check the quality of carseats and give you a free one for the safety of the child. Most of the time the police station will know when and where these things are held. Also Goodwill or Salvation Army might be able to help you out.
You might try looking on Craig’s list. I’ve seen people giving them away.
But you’re technically not supposed to get a used car seat, since you don’t know how old it is (they "expire") or whether or not it’s been in an accident.
call the local police department, they may have a few, they can also help you install it correctly.
other than that, i have one, but i can’t exactly mail it to ya…well, maybe, i don’t know…
