I believe they go by weight, so I would say they should be good until the baby is about 4 or 5 months old I wouldn’t go over 15 pounds 20 tops.
Yes, car seats expire. Most of them that I have seen have the expiration date somewhere on the side, on one of the information stickers. The one’s that I have were about seven years from when I bought them.
Yes they do expire there should be a sticker on it somewheres, they’re usually good for 10 years as long as they’ve never been in an accident
Yes. The recommendation is that car seats should not be used more than 5 years after it was manufactured (the date of manufacturing can be found on the car seats). It is believed that car seat materials can become weak from exposure to extreme temperatures when left in the car, i.e. the plastic used in car seats can become brittle or the metal parts can rust over time.
Yes they do, I dont remember how long. Also, if there was ever a car accident with the baby in carseat, it needs to be replaced. The straps get wear and tear. If you are buying used you dont know if that ever happened. I think you can take it to the fire station to get it checked out.
Yes, the expiration date will be on the car seat.
if they are more then 6 years old then get ride of them.
