When I was arrested the cop said I threatened him. I was extremely intoxicated and recall no such thing, however,I could be wrong. So I just want to know if their cars have a second camera pointing towards the back seat so I can have a definitive answer. Not saying the officer is lying but sometimes mistakes are made. Thank you

Usually dash cams cover the front of the vehicle. Im pretty sure most of them dont it would cost too much to put that in every vehicle, but you can get all the audio on his recorder on his shoulder.
ok i am not sure but i think there is 1 on the mirror thing done that
every cop car has a camera to record because of the situation you just described….it backs up what ever the cop has to say and put in his report…you can request to see the video. talk to an attorney maybe
Most dash cams in police cars are on a swivel so they can be turned 360 degrees. The video is irrelevant if the cop was miked.
Our department uses a digital camera that can record video towards the back seat.
You can request a copy of the video through the Freedom of Information Act.
