Does the Britax Boulevard CS have an adjustable crotch strap?
The crotch strap on my son’s new seat sits really low right in his crotch. It looks uncomfortable.
Does the Britax Boulevard CS have an adjustable crotch strap? (the lower part of the harness that the clips buckle in to).
I want to raise it up higher… His legs are spread wide apart because of it’s location and he is uncomfortable and it is smashing against his privates and it’s a pain in the butt to clip as well.
I feel sorry for him, it does not look pleasant.
Thanks!
I am pretty sure I positioned it so it was in the front of the strap but I could be wrong…
I will have to check tomorrow, right now it’s raining buckets…
I am also having problems with the CS system… Hanah, do you have the CS system? It seems to me like when it clicks it is still loose. I can fit more than a finger under the strap. And I have all the slack out like the manuel says and am doing everything the manuel says.
I always had the harness on his Recaro really snug… I am wondering if maybe I had it tighter than it actually needed to be?
With the CS it clicks when there is still a bit of room in the harness. Enough for me to lift it up off of him.
It does not seem acurate, or maybe I am just expecting it to be too tight?

is your seat belt positioned good? I had mine installed and that buckle did seem really short and I redid the positioning of the seat belt (the car’s seat belt) so that it didn’t lay right next to the crotch buckle. our seat belt was practically over top of the crotch seat belt so it was making it shorter than it really was. we repositioned it and it’s still pretty short but we got another inch or so out of it and it seems much better now. try checking that — if your seat belt isn’t near it though, I don’t think there’s much you can do about it other than loosening the straps a little bit and making sure his butt is right up against the back of the seat.
eta; I do have the CS. I’ve had problems with mine doing that too but I keep pulling it and it goes even though it clicks. there might be something caught on it? like the shoulder pads? also it did this when I put my son in his jacket in it and then the next day when he didn’t have his jacket on it clicked and there was still room. try taking him out, pulling the straps all the way tight and then loosening them a lot and then pulling it to adjust to it when he’s in it. it might help ‘reset’ it sort of. I think mine did that just because of me having to adjust the straps so much. did that help?
it’s always felt pretty tight, to me anyways.
no it does not….
There should be a round circular piece of fabric that surrounds it… That is supposed to be pulled up and lay against baby’s privates and diaper.
I agree though. It is too short, but they’ve been like that forever. My SIL had a 2002 with the same thing. There has to be a reason for it.
