If a sleeping baby is transported from the car to the house in the infant carrier every time instead of being picked up out of the car and carried to a bed where they are put back to sleep, will that make the baby more likely to wake up everytime they are lifted out of the car seat when they outgrow the infant carrier? Do you think its a better idea to lift them out of the car by hand and put them back to sleep right from the start because it will train them to go back to sleep easily after being moved from the car to the house? Or is there no difference?

I have an 8 month old that weighs 16 lbs. I have a ring sling and he’s not really comfortable in it anymore and is too heavy to wear on one shoulder. I also have a pouch sling, same issue w the one shoulder carry though. And 2 snugli like carriers. These are not really ideal for us either. So I was thinking Moby, Sleepy wrap, Mei Tei, or Baby k"tan.

My issues: I don’t want to spend a fortune on a carrier
- I want to be able to use it at this point and not something that’s geared towards infants
- We live in FL and I’m worried about the moby/sleepy wrap being too hot
- some of the carriers listed look like you can only hold facing in- my little guy likes to explore sometimes

I think I may be leaning towards the Baby K’tan at this point, but I don’t want to shell out the $ for it if it won’t work for us.
