On Victoria day (Canada’s 4th of July) I set off air bags in my driveway upside down. Now before you call me reckless, safety is always the main concern. Several of them have gone past 30 feet in the air with cheers from the (well back) crowd. Just woundering if anyone else has tried it.

We have done this a couple of times. But we put it right side up (airbag up) and put a 5 gallon can on top of it. It will actually throw a can full of water about 20 feet in the air. An empty one goes about the same. Doesn’t make too much sense to me, but it is fun to watch. It makes a good demonstration for emergency personnel that hvae to work next to them on vehicle accidents where the airbags didn’t deploy. It will really open your eyes. Make sure if you get any of the dust from the bags on you to wash it off quickly because it can irritate somepeople pretty badly
