A cab is exempt from requiring a baby to be in a car seat. They will not have infant seats, only boosters.
If you normally travel by bus, you don’t actually need to buy a car seat. Call your hospital and find out if they have infant seats you can borrow for the taxi ride home. I know my hospital won’t even let you in a cab without one. You will have to return it later, which may be a hassle, but if they want the seat back, they will help you figure out how to do it.
Yes cabs do have seat belts. You will need a car seat.
No cabs don’t carry infant car seats , you will need to buy one or barrow one. You won’t be able to leave the hospital if your baby is not in a car seat. Keep in mind that your baby will need a car seat every time she/he rides in a car.
