How did your toddler reacted when the new baby arrived?
I have a 2 years 4 months old toddler, I’d like to know how did your reacted? I’m 34 weeks pregnant and he seems very excited when he sees a baby, he grabbed a pink bottle for his new sister at the Walgreen’s store, and he likes to rub my belly and kiss it.. How about yours?

My daughter was 2 yrs 9 mos when her sister arrived. She was somewhat interested in her part of the time, but really couldn’t have cared less unless she was in a mood for attention and it really wasn’t working out for her because we were taking care of the baby. Even then, she was more likely to do something like color on the wall, or an impromptu song rather than showing any kind of jealousy for the baby. But every kiddo is different. Just don’t expect him to have interest in the new baby for much longer than he does a toy truck.
I have a 4 year old and I’m still pregnant. She is SOO excited! She hugs my belly and gives the baby kisses. When I told her she started telling strangers when we went outside! LOL I don’t know how she’ll react when the baby arrives but so far so good.
My daughter was 13 months old when my son was born. She named him and mothered him.
She is now 6 and he’s 5, she still thinks she’s his mom, bosses him around all the time.. he hates it!
For the most part they get along.
Congrats!
Hello. I’m also 34 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. Our first just turned a year old on the 4th of February. So they’ll be about 13 months apart. I’m not sure how he’ll react yet but I think he’ll love the new baby. He loves seeing babies on commercials. Those are the only ones he’ll look at. He also loves to walk over and lift up my shirt and say ba-ba which means baby and he’ll kiss my tummy. It’s so adorable. I can’t wait for them to meet and to see our toddler’s reaction =) Good luck mommy.
Don’t have a little one of my own, but my nieces and nephews that are around often are excited. Every time I see them, they ask when the baby will be here? One niece in particular likes to put her hand on my tummy to see if she can feel the baby kick.
My sister’s kids were a year and 9 days apart and when her younger one was born, the older sister was VERY excited! One of her first words was "Bubba" as she would point to her mommy’s belly. And she liked holding him, with the help of mom or dad of course.
One negative thing though, she was very very possessive of her things and thought everything was her’s. She would try to take his blankets because the felt just like the one’s she was so attached to. She wasn’t off her bottle yet, so that was a challenge for her to understand that certain blankets, bottles, etc. were his not hers.
