How do I find a free Infant Car seat for a homeless person at my church?
This family at my church has 2 children, an infant and a toddler. We are trying to find them both car seats here in San Antonio for when they get rides with our members. I remember a fire sub-station offering this service years ago I used myself, but I can no longer find it online. Any suggestions will help

Try the Red Cross and the Health Department.
I’d try approaching local stores that retail the seats and promising them glowing praise and free adverts in your church newsletter as well as a letter sent to local newspapers informing all readers what caring, compassionate and good-hearted people the first company to offer you the seat for free are.
That way, you get the seats, the store gets the sort of advertising money can’t buy and – best of all – the children get safe days out!
Check with your local police departments first and then check with the (TxDOT) Texas Department of Transportation, they also offer help and assistance as well………..
Try http://www.freecycle.org; it’s basically a "swap net" on Yahoo where you can offer and request all kinds of goods. You need to set up an email account at Yahoo, but you’re here already. Try it.
