I have a 2000 Ford Focus with the air bag readiness light on?
I started my car up about a week ago in extremely cold temps (-20) and the air bag readiness light came on and has stayed on since. It is not blinking just stays lit. I have never been in an accident or had any problems with the air bag in the past. I thought it might be the cold temp causing the fault but as the temps have warmed up some the light is staying on? How do I reset it?

air bag system are hard failure systems. which means when it sees a problem at anytime during its self checks the light will remain on until it is fixed and will pass its self checks again. Professional advise. diagnostics and repairs should only be done by trained professionals. don’t try to fix it your self. you can hurt or even kill yourself. and besides you probably don’t have the tools for this one.
there are sensors in the front car, you would have to take it to some one who can check it out to tell which sensor is bad.
