No, it’s not. The weight limit is there for a reason — it’s no longer safe for her if she’s over the weight limit.
I am sure if your daughter can fit in the seat and can be secured in it, she is fine to use for another month or so…
i would think as long as you could fit into it then it will be fine. i would not use it for too long though just incase but it think it will be fine if it is just 2 pounds over.
if she is over the weight limit of the car seat, you shouldn’t use it. I imagine the manufacturer tried many tests to figure out the safe weight range for the carseat design. drop off your convertible with the baby when you leave her with mom. it would be a hassle but definately worth the effort.
No!!! If the weight limit is 20 pounds, the weight limit is 20 pounds!
You need to either get another convertible seat now, or give your mother yours when she has the baby with her!
No, not safe. Let your mom use your carseat when she has your daughter. This is a matter of life or death in a car accident… it’s not something to blow off.
yeah i think it would be ok. most infant seats have the strap that allows you to adjust them so as she grows….. if you are planning on getting one soon she should be fine.
No, its not safe. It’s easy to think "she’ll be fine" but God forbid something happen, that carseat will not protect her like one for her size would. I’d shell out the money now and be safe.
