much stiffer chassis and collapsible front design, side bars in doors, all kinds of airbag, electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system, seat belt pre-tensioners and load limiters, anti-submarining (or smth like that) seats that won’t let occupant slide underneath the seat belt, dangerous things removed from places where people knees are gonna land, collapsible steering column. that would about it
Many…
1. Airbags. now cars come with dual, 4, 6, rear, side etc etc airbags also.
2. ABS – anti skid braking system helps prevents accidents by making the brakes more efficient
3. side bars: Metal bars that help the car to withstand any side impact
4. Folding metal bonnet (dont know what it is called) – it means that in case of front impact the bonnet does not crumble at once but crashes with a folding movement (just like your fingers fold, one small section at a time)
5. collapsible steering: to help reduce any impact on chest in case of a collission (which is generally a huge reason for driving accidents death)
am sure there are more. will keep thinking and adding
now air bags are there .secondly car now a days have tachometer to see their engine speed to keep it in limit.thirdly ABC technology that is automatic body control.fourthly cruise control, than turning resistant rods are applied in the front end.
