Mom's & Dad's do you use a high back booster or a no back booster for your kid.?

my son is turning five and it’s time to switch to a booster seat but I’m so use to the five point harness that the backless booter looks unsafe..could u tell me what brand of car seat u use and is it backless or high back and are you happy with your choice…Thank you..

If your son’s head extends over the seatback or you don’t have headrests, then you must have a high back booster. If a no back booster fits him (and the seatbelt fits him) and you have headrests you can use a no back, BUT high back boosters offer side impact protection and usually fit younger children better and help them to sit correctly.
My five year old has a backless booster and I think it works just fine. I seatbelt him him. I guess it also depends on what kind of car you have, I have a minivan which already has the bucket seats so he has the backrest and the seatbelt get snug around him.
we bought a graco backless booster seat for our son and it works great.
id reccomend something like that and get the ones that have the lil cup holders, SO handy!!

It depends on the type of seat your vehicle has. If he’s in the backless booster seat and his neck and head are above the regular seat back, you need the high back booster. It’s made for neck support, and obviously, to help the seat belt fit correctly. If his neck and head are support by your vehicle’s seat in the backless booster, that’d be fine.
Always choose the high back booster if at all possible. This will give the "young spine" the added capability to shape into a strong support system of integrity.
