Parents riding in car with babies in thier laps =(?
I was at the market earlier and saw a couple drive up..with an infant in the moms lap (she was the front seat passenger in a truck) I get soooo mad when I see this!!! I mean a car seat is not expensive, and if you can’t afford one most police stations will give you one. So of all the days to leave my cell at home, I had to pick the day I see this poor baby being so dangerously neglected..So not being able to let this go, I walked over to the security guard and let her know..and suggested that she have an officer near by when the couple left..that way they could be fined, or told how completely dangerous and illegal this is..but the security guard just said she did not want to be involved..I really hope that poor baby makes it home safely..What makes it even worse is the mom and dad were both wearing safety belts…how completely selfish!!! So was I over reacting? The security guard looked very annoyed..and what would you fellow moms and dads have done?
LOL:suggested category sports-horse racing??
I understand what your saying about breastfeeding..I breastfed ALL five of my babies, and I also would breastfeed in the car at the market..or anywhere else for that matter..however I did not ever take them out of the carseat while the car was moving..sorry. Regardless of that fact..that was not the case here..I watched them pull in off of the main street and park..all the while the poor baby was in the moms lap.

there should have baby car seat. http://www.babycarseatsale.com. Report the police is what i will do.
there have been times when i would take the baby out of the carseat as we pulled into the parking lot to breastfeed before i go in the store. i dont know about your kids but my babies were primarily breastfed and they were very loud, and demanding when they were hungry, and they got hungry going from point a to point b. the parking lot is slow, we always parked right away, and we have a truck also, we were never in any danger. someitmes i would pull them out while my husband was pulling into a safe place for me to breastfeed.
there have been times when i was waiting in the truck at the gas station breastfeeding my baby in the front seat and a bunch of nosy people would walk by giving me snide looks, sure maybe they think its better to prop a bottle into the mouth in the carseat but i would rather hold my baby close, in a parked car and feed him/her breastmilk.
u should keep an open mind, if u dont understand something u shouldnt judge it.
To be honest, I’d much rather see two parents bringing their kid down the road to a super market then leave the baby alone in the house. From our eyes, of course doing things like that is wrong and makes you feel sick thinking about what could happen, but sometimes people can’t help it really or don’t think about things until they learn it the hard way.
you are over reacting. I’d have tsk tsked it and would have minded my own business. I’m sure the parents know that it is dangerous. I’m sure there are people that disapprove of things I do.
i would have notified police myself! poor baby!
I would’ve taken down the license plate number, found a pay phone and called it in myself. the security guard was in the wrong. That is not only dangerous but it is illegal as well.
The security guard is required by law to report things like this. In the future, get a license plate number, as accurate of a vehicle description as you can, and a description of the people, and then, report it to child abuse hotline. It can be done anonymously.
This baby’s life is at stake. I’d still report the situation, and perhaps they can pull info off the store’s video. Also, the security guard needs to be reported to management if they’re so lazy they won’t protect a child. If the store doesn’t do anything, I’d tell them I’d never shop there again!
