question on strollers and car seats-suggestions?

this may be long but originally i got a travel system from my father but i want to get a britax convertible seat because they are safer and last longer. my question is will the stroller from the travel system be useable with out the car seat while shes a new born since it lays all the way flat?
well yeah i know the only car seat that will fit is the one it came with but i want to make sure the stroller is still usable alone with no car seat

A convertible seat will stay latched into the car. It won’t be taken in and out of the car with the baby, like an infant seat will. The only car seat that will fit into a stroller is an infant seat, and it has to be the same brand.

I liked using my infant seat until about 6 months for the convenience of being able to bring my sleeping infant in and out of the car in his (& her) seat. We put our britax rear facing at 6 months with our daughter…and our son is not that old yet. Either way I used the stroller, laying flat or reclined a bit.
