I have one I’ve been trying to get rid of that Jana outgrew months ago. It’s a Baby Trend Flex Lock (if anyone’s interested lol). I know second hand stores won’t take them, and I don’t think charities will either due to the safety issues associated with used car seats. I would say try Craig’s List, you may have some luck!
I would try craigslist and maybe ebay. Make sure to include pictures and the exact year you bought it. You might be able to sell it. I see people trying to sell their old car seats on ebay all the time.
good luck
Its worth a shot I guess to post it to craigs. But, if you’re planning on having more kids probably best to save it to use with them because I’m guessing that even if it does sell on craigslist you won’t get anywhere near what you paid for it.
You could try and sell it on craigs list or ebay. Their are a lot of needy people out their that have no choice but to buy used.
I am saving my car seat because I plan on having more children soon. But, I plan on donating a lot of our things when we are done.
Perhaps if it doesn’t sell, you could donate it to a family in-need. I know in our paper on sundays they always have a section that helps the needy, infant seats are always something that is needed. Donating one to some one could really help someone more then you could ever imagine.
try craigslist and if you can’t sell it there then try selling it to a baby consignment shop.
Have a look at other baby seats on craigs list, compare the prices, take some really good photos and list yours at $2 cheaper, it should sell immedietly! I wouldn’t bother with ebay because you will lose so much money mailing the chair, unless you list it as local pick up only. I find that my bigger baby items sell much better on craigs list, and I always list them slightly cheaper than everyone else’s. I have also bought a LOT of my baby stuff second hand on ebay/craigs list/yard sales, (including my baby’s first car seat) as long as it is nice and clean, in good working condition, then you can tell someone decent owned it before. I always sell it again also, often for the same price I paid for it.
I personally wouldn’t buy a used car seat, but I am sure many other people would. Its worth a shot! I don’t know if you are aware of this… but car seats have an expiration date on them somewhere, usually on the back. Just make sure you check the date before you sell it.
Good Luck!
