Shoes for your baby…?
Does your baby wear shoes easily?!
Since the weather has begun to get colder I really wanted to find some cute fuzzy-lined boots or some sort of shoe for my daughter to wear. We have always just stuck socks on her feet and were sure to wrap the blanket around them int he car seat, but I felt like a bad mom when I saw all these little babies with cute boots and shoes on keeping their feeties warm!
So I bought some shoes from Target, Walmart and Old Navy and NONE of them will stay on her feet
We had some NB size shoes when she was little that fit great, but these shoes that cover her feet completely slip off in no time. It’s so sad! She’s 5 months old and I think her fat ankles are the culprit. They just don’t allow her shoes to stay on, not even these, and they’re so cute! http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=37246&pid=612605&scid=612605002
I know there’s no problem with warm socks, but gosh, this sucks.

I was just telling my hubby the same thing yesterday. We met my friend at the mall, and I was thinking Hallie was adorable in her little reigndeer socks, then my friend’s baby had on Dooney & Bourke boots.
It definitely made me want to go buy her some shoes. She has grown out of all her shoes except her red ones that go with her christmas dress, and they’re too dressy for every day.
My baby hates anything being on her feet. Socks, shoes, they all end up half on and half off about 20 minutes after we put them on her feet. Those boots from old navy are freaking adorable though!
I live in Texas though. It doesn’t get very cold haha but still…
My son kicks them off…every time! I have cute little sneakers, and dress shoes and sandals(for warmer weather of course) and he will wear them for maybe 10 minutes. It does suck because the temp here now averages -26 Celsius and blankets are great but he kicks them off too. I’m almost certain people think I’m a bad mom…but I can’t help it lol
Our sons got shoes going to High school. Before that, bare feet- summer and winter. My wife got worried and spoke to the doctor. "Don’t fret, they’ll put something on if they really get cold feet."
They were not alone, the whole primary school went bare feet.
Peace.
Now that my 6 month old is constantly moving and kicking, her shoes wont stay on either. I have a winter bunting that keeps her nice and warm and when I take her into a store or somewhere i will take her arms out and leave her legs and feet in.
I bought those same shoes, they fall right off
As well as all the other little shoes i bought.. she is still very young though. The ones that stay on the best are these little ballet slippers from walmart, they have straps on top that hold on to her foot pretty well, but when she gets to kicken they come loose.
I’ve been putting shoes on my baby pretty much since she was born. Yeah, they stay on pretty easily and she doesn’t really try to take them off but that’s probably because she is used to them. I don’t have boots like those, though. She has huge feet and wears a size 2, just get a bigger size.
LOL. Will has really fat little feet. I have bought that many pairs of shoes only to get them home and discover that they don’t fit that I could start a baby shoe store. Even 1-2 sizes up don’t fit his feet they end up being way too long and we still can’t get them past his toes.
When we go out I feel like the worst mother in the world because he’s dressed nicely but wears no shoes!! Off the cuff comments from some people like "Oh aren’t you wearing any shoes today" used to make me jump to our defense and point out the size of his feet and the difficulty we had in finding shoes to fit but as he’s getting older it bothers me less and at least he’s clean and tidy.
We did recently end up finding a nice pair of sandals for him though which unfortunately he had for 2 days before he figured out how to unbuckle them and lost one! I’m really lucky though that we live in a warm climate and don’t need them to keep his feet warm. Good luck on your search for shoes to fit.
My son HATES when I put shoes on him. It’s a struggle for sure! When I finally get them on he’s ok…unless he sits and tries to take them off lol.
I usually just have him in socks, but like you said it’s cold and my son loves to stand so I like to put shoes on him if I can and the shoes I think work best are ones with velcro. Laces give me problems!
I have these and they work well…although they are for boys, maybe you can find something similar-http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=37873&pid=612586
I just realized I have bought almost all my son’s shoes from Old Navy…
I also bought him some Crocs, well I bought them from Ross, but they look like Crocs, and I can’t wait until he grows into those :]
I wound that Robeez were the only things that would sat on my youngest 2 children’s feet.
