I am on somewhat of a budget (i.e. – NOT in the market for a BOB or otherwise outrageously expensive jogger) and am looking for a reliable, durable jogging stroller. Weight isn’t a huge issue as it will probably only rarely see the trunk of a car and I will use it mostly for sidewalk walking (I already own an umbrella stroller and an Evenflo Aura stroller) and some trail walking/jogging. My son is a very healthy 35 pounds at 10 months and has only recently started to slow down so I also need something with a higher weight limit. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have spent 4 days on the computer researching convertible car seats. I am having a horrible time making a decision. I think I have narrowed it down between the Evenflo Triumph Advance and The First Years True Fit. My son is 10 months old, 23lbs. I would love to get the Britax Marathon, but it’s not in our budget. I’ve read so many reviews that they are just confusing me even more now. My main concern is safety. We live in Florida and i’ve never been around so many bad drivers. Can you help?
Also, what about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat?
Thank you everyone so much! But, I just checked on Craigslist and found a BRAND NEW Britax Marathon (reg. 0) for 0!!! I’m so excited! So, we’re going to go pick it up tomorrow and spend the day at the beach to boot. But, seriously, thank you for answering so quickly! I will definetely be using "answers" again for my next dilema.

My daughter is 10 months and well over 20 lbs. we have to get her a new seat and are wondering whether we can go straight to a booster? There are booster seats that apparently go from 20lbs.
Also, what is the most functional (easy to install and easy to use) car seat?
A lot of the seats that are considered "booster seats", here in Canada, do have a 5 point harness. SO I’m not even sure what the difference is, other than the fact that most are not rearfacing.

Charianna 9.5 y/o: completely out of a stroller!
Danielle 8 y/o: completely out of stroller also!
Scarlett 6 y/o: completely out except 4 naps!
Anabella 4 y/o twin: same as Scarlett
Ansley 4 y/o twin: same as Anabella & Scarlet
Gabriella 2 y/o: still in stroller!
Kingston 10 months twin: still in stroller!
Kelsey Marie 10 months twin: still in stroller
Those are my kids names and ages. I push around a quad-stroller around right now! But I’m due to have a baby soon (about 2-3 months). I’m usually REALLY early. So I want to have as many out of diapers and strollers as possible! Is it wrong to let my daughters Scarlett and the twins still ride in strollers? They don’t always ride in them, just when they get tired.
i don’t baby them. it’s just when we have to go all day, especially during the summer, i can’t let them wander off and lay down on the floor and sleep.
most of the time all of them walk except the youngest 3

We’ve been cycling illnesses through our family this week. My daughter (almost 10 months) has a cold and vommitted once today (maybe due to drainage?)
She is sleeping a lot. When she is awake she is cuddly, and then wants to go back to sleep. She is still drinking some formula, appetite is decreased.
How much does your infant sleep when ill? What is considered excessive sleeping?
If she isn’t feeling better by monday I will of course take her in Or if she worsens before then.

So far I’ve kept my mouth shut but it’s really bugging me. Her child is over 10 months of age, might still be within weight restrictions for the seat (kind that have the base in your car and you pick it up to carry them in), but the babe is obviously way too long for the seat as her feet stick out WAY far from it. That’s unsafe and maybe even illegal right? I normally leave the mothering to the mother, but this is just her worrying more about the convenience of keeping her child contained than it’s safety and progression. She has sat up in a cart at the store ONCE!! Still slumps in the high chair because it’s rarely given opportunities to practice sitting up. She even bought the bigger car seat but doesn’t want to use it. Would you keep quiet or call her out on this stuff? And if so how to call out to her common sense?
ladies this isn’t rear facing vs front facing…….they make bigger car seats (for kids that get longer and go over the weight for the infant ones) that still go rear facing for a long time. That’s what she bought and still doesn’t want to use…..my seat listed a length restriction on it, hence why this bugs me.
I really wonder if some of you would change your responses if you’d just realize I’m not talking about changing the babe to front facing. I thought at that height they should be in a larger accomadating STILL rear facing seat.

I was given one of these by my house mates brother when my daughter was born because they are done having kids. This means I was never given the original packaging for the baby carrier. I am looking to see if anyone knows what age/weight these are good until? My daughter is now 10 months and 8.4kg’s.
Thanks!
Ahh thanks I didn’t even think of the website! Up to 12kg so she has a while yet which is great

Shes 10 months old and weighs about 22lbs. I just recently started putting her in a forward facing car seat because her legs were too long in a rear facing one and she was very uncomfortable. I think shes supposed to be about 30lbs to be able to be in a forward facing car seat but she just doesnt fit in a rear facing one. Am I making the right decision? I just want my baby to be SAFE and comfortable. Please help!

Alright, we have a Britax Decathlon, which has 3 slots for the crotch belt but you can’t use the third slot for rear facing. Once they are ‘sitting on the strap’ then you’re supposed to move the crotch belt, but that happened with my daughter at about 2 years old, so we moved her into the Graco My-Ride to keep her rear-facing. My son was going to ride in the Decathlon, he’s 10 months old, but already that crotch strap would have to be sat on (he’s about as thick as she is now…) I want him to rear-face as long as possible, and we are ready to buy another car seat to make sure of that, but I want one with a proper crotch strap.
Can anyone give any recommendations besides just getting another My-Ride? We had planned on trying a Radian XTSL but from what I’m reading their crotch straps are not that long either, and since there’s no place you can try them out I’m hesitant to get something that might not work.

I didn’t realize so many people keep their kids rear facing until I rode with 2 moms who had sons older than mine were rear facing. I told them my son had been forward facing since 10 months and they almost fainted (seriously not joking) he is 18 months and 36 inches and 27 lbs. Should I turn him back around?

My son is 10 months and getting too big for his infant seat. I am looking into a new seat for him, but am not sure what to buy. I have read reviews complaining of seats being too big for the backseat. I have heard the Graco my ride 65 is good but also a bit bulky. Any suggestions for quality seats for smaller cars?

My son and my daughter will only be 10 months apart. I wonder if getting a double stroller would be more logical instead of having 2 seperate ones. Any suggestions?

My dear husband wishes to face our baby forward at the age of 10 months. The guidelines to all car seats say that the child should not face forward until 1 years old and 20 months. My daughter is a big baby and he thinks she is strong enough to face forward. This is a big argument between us and i’m frustrated. Any advice to strongly convince him?

my son will be 10 months on the 20th he is weighting 20lbs 2oz and 28 in tall the car seat he had was handed down to us and he out grew it and the weight limit was 19lbs we tried to keep him in it as long as we could but it was just not happening. we have a 97 chevy 1500 pick up no back seats just one row were your sitting we just got a convertable car seat last night and was wondering if its ok to have him forward facing i know they say to keep your kids rear facing as long as you can but its kinda hard if you have a truck and a rear facing car seat i called the police stations program about it but the guy wont be in until next friday and we need a car seat now. well i am also confussed on is in the booklet about the car seat it states 1 year and 20lbs well my son is already 20lbs but not a year old what is that meaning.

My daughter is 10 months old and is still in her infant carrier. I am looking through convertible car seats and I would like to continue have her rear facing…. for as long as possible as it is 5x safer for her that way…according to my "research" so with that in consideration I think I like the Britax Decathlon-Tiffany.

I can do rear facing until 35 pounds which is great. It is pricy but worth it right? It’s about 0.
If I don’t get that one I’m looking into the Safety 1st Complete Air

Around 0 hundred something and can rear face until 40 lbs if I am correct?
Which one do you think is better? and What Convertible car seat does your little one have?
Thanks in advance.
