I’m 4’11 and I can’t even see the road in the car I am going to get. & What booster seat do I use? Pillows or do I buy one?
I’m not handicap, I’m just short.

I have done many crafts with my 3 yr old son, but I find myself running out of fun toddler friendly craft ideas. We’ve done many sponge painting, tp roll characters, crafts with shapes, colors & his hand print. I have felt, sponge squares, popsicle sticks, google eyes, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, beads, paints, construction paper, white glue & fabric glue as my craft supplies. Any other toddler friendly ideas on what he can make with these?

Has anyone seen the latest Zyrtec commercial? The one with the woman and the jogging stroller? And the little blonde girl with piggy tails who looks at her mom and says "Hi" with the most angelic look on her face and the mom puts her in the stroller and go jogging?

My 3 year old Katie loves the commercial and gets excited seeing the little cute girl & jumps up for joy, she says "mommy I want to play with her"

How cute is that? and what cute things your toddler says or does?

I’m 35 weeks & we finally decided on the travel system we want!
Hubby & I love the Chicco Cortina key fit 30 travel system. It’s a top rated travel system & the style is very nice.
We plan on ordering this next week since it’s getting reallyy close to that time now!
Anyway, have you ever used this travel system before? If so, what did you think about it? Would you reccomend it?

I got safety 1st health kit () from Walmart as a shower gift. It was basic things like the thermometer, nail clippers, medicine dropper etc. A friend of mine told me its better to buy thermometer & all individually. I am looking for suggestions on a good health kit. Or this is a good one to keep? Also which comb & brush did you buy for the baby?

My boys are 2 & 3 yrs. old. I call them "my little Hercules’!" They break thru every barrier I place for their protection! I put those push down locks for drawers, so that they don’t open them, and all they do is pull the drawers until the safety breaks! Then they end up throwing out their clothes all over their room! I even put those hook and eyes at my height , to keep them from opening the doors to other rooms and bathrooms, and they work together to grab my office chair and roll it out into the hall and stand up on it, and unhook the eye! And open the door! I didn’t teach them any of this! How do they know? And I even put those magnetic locks on the oven and fridge. (Waste of money!) And I even took their room door down because they broke it! So I have a child gate to keep them in their room during nap time, and through out the night until morning. But they break thru by taking turns, kicking and pushing thru the gate til it falls over! I’m losing money on all this safety Help!

This is long, bear with me.

My sister watches my nieces 3 children, ages about 9, 7 and 5. Depending on the car they use, they sometimes use boosters and seats but since the 5 year old is pretty big they tend to think they’re not necessary anymore. Okay, so my sister is having a baby and she’s having a lot of trouble and could end up having the baby any moment. When the baby is born we will be watching the kids, possibly for a week, possibly for up to a month or more. My mom and I like to go places, and my mini-van can easily fit everyone, but the car seat question comes up. Both because I don’t want my kids to get the wrong idea about car safety and because it’s safer (not to mention the law in our area says they have to be in a booster or seat until 8.)

So the problem. I KNOW they will not compensate or help me get a booster. They MAY provide us with a booster and seat while they’re here, but I’m not counting on it since I’m not seeing them in boosters very often anymore. My niece is having a divorce with the father right now, and I don’t know if he has the seats or if he’d be willing to let someone else use them. He also has a very aggressive nature towards seats and I don’t know if the seat would be safe anyway.

I DO have an old Britax that my daughter can’t ride backwards in because of the crotch belt being too short for her and having to be in the forward facing position. One of them should fit in that one (it goes up to 63lbs) and then I don’t have anyone using the unsafe lap-belt in the back. I’m pretty sure there are head-rests on the back bench so a basic no-back booster is an option and more affordable.

So the Evenflo Big Kid AMP got the ‘best bet’ for a booster seat a couple of years ago by the IIHS and is on sale for about . I’ve never been pulled over but if I was with these kids then I could be cited for breaking the law since anyone under 8 must be in a booster or carseat depending on age now (and you have to be 4+ for a booster, but they all are.) However, it’s not like I’m planning on taking them a million places either, just to things like SAMS or COSTCO, the library or a playground, now and then, and we could just plan that around the days we don’t have them. Except that we don’t always KNOW the days we won’t have them. And I could just leave my mom home with them, but she gets awfully tired watching them alone and I know everyone would like to get out now and then. My mom may be willing to pay for the booster herself since I have a seat for one of them and that’s basically all we’d need but if she doesn’t… that’s about 1/2 our food budget for a week (but I would feel horrible if one of them was injured and a citation would cost more anyway. But yes, I feed my family of 4 on a week so this isn’t a small purchase.)

So my question is, what would you do? There may be some arguing as well from kids who are used to not using any seats and me being a hard Aunty saying they don’t have a choice. It could also cause some irritation from parents who don’t agree with me (or the law) about boosters and such. (Let’s face it, I’m a nutcase to them anyway since both my kids are rear-facing until 4 or 30lbs, and my daughter is 3 1/2 and is still rear-facing currently so I’m not joking.) Their kids complaining that I make them ride in a booster and when they asked why I explained the safety aspect or the legal aspect would basically be saying their parents are wrong.

Would you just plan on leaving them home? Or would you just get the stupid booster?
Aggressive towards seats = tossing them aside, refusing to use them, etc. I’m sure he’s yelled at them.

As far as worrying about what folks think, yes I do. They don’t tend to leave kids over here because my parents are elderly, and my mom would like them over more often, but my dad has made everyone feel guilty for leaving their kids over at all so it sort of hurts her that she doesn’t get to see them as often.

How much time would I have saved by not asking the question? About 5 minutes. When you grow up, take a typing class.

About 3 weeks ago we bought a Graco Comfort Support Convertible car seat for my 8 month old daughter. It is pink with little flowers and blue denim for the head & arm rest. Its really cute but I am looking for some extra girly covers incase this one gets dirty and I don’t have time to wash. I have looked on ebay and searched online but I can’t seem to find what I am looking for. Do any of you know where I can look? Thanks:)

I coughed, feeling the movement of my body effect my dry throat. I was lying in the backseat of an old car. After trying to sit up many times, always ending with no success, I kept my back on the seat and focused on recalling the nights events. I remember shopping at the mall, looking for a dress. I remember the fight between a father and son. My memories seem faded and distant. With a jolt, I was slammed into the seat and my head whip lashed back, sliding me to the door.. The moving had stopped. A door opened and slammed shut again. Outside of the car, I heard the faint sound of foot steps. When my door opened, I tried to place my arm over my eyes to protect me from the the bright light. Just then, a beautiful face loomed over mine. His face was familiar, with his dark hair and ocean blue eyes. He was talking, begging me to listen. I tried but his voice seemed muffled, like my ears were clogged. This was the boy arguing with his dad at the mall. His dads eyes were furious and his mouth had bits of saliva around it from yelling. The boy seemed helpless then and now. I looked up at him then, happy I remembered something. His face was streaked with long gone tears and dirt.
I’m sorry he mouthed and the tears begin to flow again as he placed a wet cloth over my nose and mouth, sending me back to sleep.
this is actually about a girl whose mom sold her to a drug lord for drugd (cause shes an addict) & the drug lords son kidnaps her trying to "save" her, because if his dad woulda got her, shed be forced into prostitution and drugs. & yes, ive read stolen, and loved it. it gave me this idea & no its not exactly the same , it has more of a dark twist.

The 1996 lincoln was given to me & I would like to fix it up to drive I have a 1999 Tahoe & I am by myself & don’t need that big of vehicle to drive anymore. Please give me some good news.

The double stroller I have is a Phil & Ted’s classic inline (picture here: http://www.philandteds.com/nz/classic_08_1.htm) jogging stroller with a single stroller imprint. It’s pretty compact but not as lightweight as if I traveled with two doubles and I pushed one and my husband the other. Any suggestions would help please!

Me & my b.f. are having our child on monday & we plan on buying a new car which my not have a latch for out baby’s car seat i was wondering, is there a kit that i can buy to install those latches you know the ones that you connect from car seat?
