I’m looking a Car Seat for my 18 monthes baby girl. I want to know what is diffenert of convertible car seat and booster car seat ? I want a car seat can grow up with my baby. which can stand longer and which is safety? Convertible 3in1 is expansive than the booster car seat!

All 3 of my boys ages 8,11 and 14 still use car seats. They are all very small for their age.

My 14 year old prepubescent son is only 4′10-4′11 around 85 lbs, I still make him use a booster seat while riding in the car.

Should I remove the car seat and allow him to sit in the car without it? Its always been used for a good safety reasons

He is not emberrased by any of his friends, a couple of his friends still use a booster seat, and almost all his friends are around age 11.

Okay so I have a 5 year old and I have a almost 2 year old.

What I want to know is how big or/and old do they have to be before using the booster seat in cars?

I know the law now is something to the effect of until they are 8 years old or something like that.

My daughter is in a booster seat now and I think I put her in it at 3 years old but I can’t remember for sure, and anyways I want to put my son in a booster seat soon because I hate his car seat!

We just moved home to Ohio from Germany with our 2 year old. He is over 30 pounds and uses a booster car seat with a back. My sister INSISTS that it is illegal until he is over 40 pounds and at least 4 years old. However, the tag on the seat says 30 pounds with the back and 40 pounds without. I have looked everywhere online and can’t find anything that says its illegal. All I can find is that they must sit in a forward seat until they don’t fit anymore and if they are over 40 pounds, they CAN sit in a booster seat. But no where can I find that under 4 and under 40 pounds they can’t……..anyone know the law in ohio?

I am looking at these two different car seats for my youngest son and am undecided on which one is better. I want one that is going to be able to be used till he is 6-7yo because the new car seat laws are coming in in a few months. He is currently 14 months old so we are going to have it for a long time.

As far as meeting current safety standards, they are both the same so that is not an issue really.

The price is 0 different though, I can get the Maxi Rider at 9 or the prospect at 9 so its a big price difference but I am willing to pay the higher price if it means I get a better car seat.
I have two other car seats in the car (another older maxi rider and a small booster seat) as well so that has to be taken into consideration with space being an issue.

Which one do you like better and please give me specific reasons why you think one is better than the other.

Also do you know of any other car seats that are this style (8-26kg with built in harness) other than the HiPod from target (which i think is a little cheap/plasticky)?

My son is almost 3 and will soon be needing a booster seat, but I’d like to buy a seat that can double as a regular car seat as well as a booster seat so it can be versitile for the next sibling too. Any suggestions? I’m looking for straps that are easy to adjust and a seat that isn’t too bulky.
