If a sleeping baby is transported from the car to the house in the infant carrier every time instead of being picked up out of the car and carried to a bed where they are put back to sleep, will that make the baby more likely to wake up everytime they are lifted out of the car seat when they outgrow the infant carrier? Do you think its a better idea to lift them out of the car by hand and put them back to sleep right from the start because it will train them to go back to sleep easily after being moved from the car to the house? Or is there no difference?

The infant carrier/travel system I am wanting to buy was made 05/16/2010. It is the Baby Trend Stride Sport Travel System- All Star. I have looked and found no recalls on this item. My due date to have my son is in July of 2012 so the car seat will be 2 years old. I was wondering if it is still alright to use? I know some manufactures have a 5-6 year warranty. Also, I live in Missouri and I have heard that some hospitals don’t except infant carriers that are over a year old.. Is this true?

I was just looking at the specs on my sons infant carrier car seat and it says the max weight is 22lbs and either 28 or 29 inches for length. My son is just a few days shy of 6 months and is 26inches long and weight 18.5lbs. This making me believe that by around 8 months or so he’s probably going to be around 22lbs. Maybe its just me but I thought that seemed a little early for the toddler upright seat.
When did you switch your baby to the seat after the carrier? How old and what size were they?

Someone is trying to sell a car seat that he swears is front and rear facing, it is a carrier and comes with a base that he says the base just turns around and makes the seat face forward. Now I am not going to buy it but I was just curious, is there really one out there? Or is he just putting kids in danger?

My daughter is almost 6 months old and right now she has a Graco Safe Seat. She will need a convertible car seat soon. The Graco Safe Seat step 2 does not have a rear facing feature and I dont really like the Graco Comfort Sport seat. Anyone who had a safe seat what seat did you get next?

I have the alpha omega elite and it goes up to 40 pounds with a harness. I would love to keep my daughter in a harness as long as I can… which car seat would you recommend to get next after she reaches 40 pounds? Hopefully the last I would need to buy? Assuming I wont get it until she’s almost 3… What car seat do you have your toddler in?

I have an evenflo comfort fold stroller and I want to know if there’s a car seat that will go with it, or if they made them to be not compatible with car seats.

My toddler has the Graco MyRide 65 Convertible Car Seat and I was wondering if anyone used that on an airplane and if it fit in the seat. Also did anyone have a car seat not fit?

I am due in a few weeks. Because of arthritis issues I did not get an "infant carrier" car seat – I have chosen one of those convertible seats. So, I don’t have a baby carrier.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can best handle baby in a restaurant without the infant carrier? I was hoping to use a moses basket in the booths, but it’s SO huge! Any other ideas?

It’s the only vehicle I own and purchasing a ‘family compact car’ is not in the question right now.
I just don’t think the sideways mounted seats in the cab are that safe. Correct me if I’m wrong though.
The middle seat & passenger seat in the front both supply anchors for the ‘anchor carseats’. I currently have the car seat in the middle in the front. Not the most comfortable fit but I figure the middle of the truck is the safest?
Thank you for your input.

he is not 2 yet and it is a 5 point harness car seat. we have tried tightening it, but he always finds a way to get out. It doesn’t matter where we are going. We have two different kinds, one that has the piece that comes over the head and is a 5point harness, and one without that piece. He thinks it is a fun time and says YEAH every time he gets out. I would never use a leash or a straight jacket on my child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
