Ok, I have narrowed down the staggering number of convertible car seats to Britax. They have the Marathon, Boulevard, Advocate, Roundabout… it’s crazy. They all seem the same to me. A little info- my daughter is 1 year old, about 22 lbs, 24 inches (she was a preemie). I plan on keeping her rear-facing as long as possible, and would like to only buy this one car seat rather than a new one every time she gains 5 lbs. We have been using the Graco Snugride and she has probably just a few weeks until she’s maxed it out. Any thougths on Britax? What size vehicle do you have or need in order for it to fit rear-facing? We’re probably going to purchase a Chevy Equinox (right now, I have a 2 door Blazer, so can’t really use a convertible seat with it!). Thanks!

i have 2 that i am looking at right now. i like them both but im not sure which is best. ive read TONS of reviews but i thought maybe some of you have these car seats and can tell me your experience with them.

http://www.amazon.com/Britax-Marathon-Convertible-Seat-Onyx/dp/B003OUWIJY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top :this one i have read has a large base. we have a small Toyota Yaris and im worried that it wont fit. especially because come September we will have another little one and will have to fit 2 car seats in the backseat.

http://www.amazon.com/Britax-Roundabout-Convertible-Seat-Onyx/dp/B003OUWIIU/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top :this one seems a bit smaller but it also doesnt seem to "cradle" the baby as much as the other one. it also looks like it has less padding.

the price doesnt really matter..

Question about Convertible Car Seats…?

So my daughter is just shy of 4 months, and 17 lbs, and her car seat is only rated for up to 22 lbs. I have been looking at getting a Convertible Car Seat, since she is holding her head up really good now, but I was just wondering when everyone here switched from the infant seat, to a convertible seat.

I just bought an advocate – on it’s way. If you have a britax convertible car seat, which one do you have and which car is it in? Just curious if I will have a problem fitting it in my ford escape.

Also, now the baby will be in a convertible seat with no handle like in the infant carrier, what do you use to hang toys or attach toys. My baby is 7 months old.

My 5 year old sits in a booster seat (no back). My 3 year old sits in a convertible seat but I’m looking to buy a high back booster that will fit with both the infant car seat (new baby) and the no back booster of my 5 year old. Can you help? Brands that may fit?

8 1/2 month old baby and car seat… HELP!?

My son is 8 1/2 months old, and he has out grown his infant car seat, and is 22.6 lbs. I have a Evenflo Titan DLX Lexington Convertible Car Seat that I received for my baby shower and was wondering if it’s okay to use it… it could be used either for rear facing or forward facing. I know the law is 20LBS AND at least 1Year old for forward facing, so I would be using it rear facing. What do you all think????

Here is the link of the Evenflo Titan DLX

I am 34 wks pregnant and we are preparing for the new baby, but I am confused regarding which kind of seat I should get. I looked on Walmart and seen 2 diff. kinds. One is an infant car seat and the other is the convertible car seat. We are trying to save money, but I dont know what the best option would be. What’s the difference between the two and can I just get a convertible seat instead of the infant car seat?

What is the best car seat for a 6 month old?

I want to know your experience on/with convertible car seats for infants. We have a Safety 1st convertible one and my son’s head hangs way down and over when he sleeps in it. It looks very uncomfortable and stressful on his neck. He is still sleeping right much during the day which means he has to sleep in the car sometimes.
He is over 19 pounds and is 6.5 months. We are moving him out of his baby seat since he is getting so close to the weight limit on it and it seems to tight anyway. We are trying to find one that will grow with him up to 80 pounds if possible. I will pay extra for something comfortable and safe for him. Any advice and help is so appreciated!! Thanks!
We have the seat that is rear facing, but is a convertible seat, so he is still rear facing for now. Up until one year I think.

Would you buy a car seat with a loud pattern?

I am buying my son a converible car seat and am trying to decide if I should get the cow print one, or just a plain colored one. Here’s a link to the cow print one…http://www.amazon.com/Britax-Marathon-Convertible-Seat-Onyx/dp/B000F1QL20/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1239145886&sr=1-2

I think it is sooo adorable, but we plan on this being the only car seat he uses since it goes up to 65 pounds, and I am afraid in a few years I’m going to be kicking myself for getting a cow print lol. Opinions?
Ergh…apparently that’s a link to the plain one! But you can select the cow print one on the side to see it :-)

I just got back from the doctor’s with my daughter after her 6 month check up. She’s 27" and 15.5lbs.

I know her particular car seat (Evenflo Embrace LX) goes from 5 to 22lbs, but I was wondering if there was a height limit as well? She seems pretty tall, and just looking at her in her seat, her legs stick out of the seat. That can’t be safe? It doesn’t say anywhere in the instructions about a height limit, but is it unsafe to have their feet stick out the bottom?

We’ll be switching her to the Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible seat (obviously keep her rear-facing) when the time comes, but do you think the time is now?

we weight about 23lbs. I’m tired I’m carring the infant car seat .. So then the convertible seat face forward or facing back?

convertible car seat vs infant car seats?

I was wondering if I could get some insight on purchasing a convertible car seat rather than an infant car seat for my baby. The convertible seat we are looking at can be rear facing and forward facing and sits from 5-65lbs. Or do you think we should just purchase the infant seat? Thank you in advance!
