I’m in the process of researching carseats for my chubby (21 pounds, 27 inches) 4 month old. I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to the Britax Diplomat or Boulevard, haven’t completely ruled out the Decathalon because of the adjustable crotch strap. Like the Diplomat because it seems to be a shrunk down version of the boulevard - great for my Nissan Altima as I hear that the Boulevard is quite bulky. However, the Diplomat only goes up to 40 pounds whereas the Boulevard goes up to 65 pounds. Want my big baby to stay in this seat until he’s ready for a booster whenever that is. Anyone have these carseats and big babies? Thanks.
No he’s only 4 months old and 21 pounds -breastfed only as well. Both my husband and I are tall and thin but were very big babies ourselves. I guess it’s just genetics. Doc says he’s healthy.

I own two Britax convertable seats (the Marathon and the Decathalon) and when I bought them the cover was sooooo super soft, like velvet. But I had to wash it the other day for the first time and it’s not soft anymore!! I didn’t machine wash or dry (the tag advised not to) so I did as the tag instructed me to. So my question is, IS there anyway to make the material feel that soft again?

I have found an amazing deal on both of these, putting the Decathalon at 180 and the Boulevard at 209. I like that the Decathalon has adjustable crotch strap and that the Blvd has the wings. I really want others opinions. Thank you!! I don’t care if you have not owned these before. This is my first so all of the info is overwhelming, just want to hear from other mommas!
My LO is 6 months. Tall and skinny- 27in and 16 lbs. Her dad is 6′4 so I’m inclined to think she will be tall (if that matters)

I need a car seat that is safe comfortable and FAA aproved, i have narrowed it down to a marathon or a decathalon. I would like some opinion from owners of both so i can make a proper decision since they are pretty spendy.

Anyone have an opinion about which is better. My daughter is 8 1/2 months and has just about outgrown her snug ride. The woman working in the store says the only difference bwtween the 2 is the Decathalon was made for newborns. I figured if that was the only thing then why spend the few extra $$s. But if the Decathalon is just a better car seat then I would get that.
Thoughts please!

The choices are so overwhelming. Im a first time mom and my daughter is about to outgrow her Snug Ride but i just don’t know which britax i should buy. Money isn’t an issue since just as long as i know its worth it and safe. Plus she will be using it for years.
SO Marathon?
Decathalon
Roundabout
boulevard
Which one…..
I have a 4door Car.. Mitshubishi Galant
