My son is 9 and nearly 90lbs, is it safer for me to travel with him in the front seat or between my two girls, who are in car seats in the back?
My two younger children are in carseats. My 6YO is in a Britax Regent and My 5MO is in a Britax Marathon. Both are unusually large seats. I drive a Ford Edge and there is barely enough room for him in between.
My concern is if we get hit from the side he could be crushed by one or both of the seats. The guilt would be unbareable. But I don’t want him to be in danger in the front either. I do have the auto air-bag shut off option on my car, which does turn off when he sits up there.
Looking for some professional advice…… Thx!

I have a Britax Marathon carseat that I am installing in the rear center position of my Ford Edge. The manual for the car says I can use the inner LATCH connectors from the outboard seats. The only problem is there is no bar for me to attach the top tether to in the center seat. Can I attach it to one of the bars for the outboard seat?

im thinking about putting my 2.5 month old son it it. he is getting too heavy to carry in and out of everywhere we go in the infant car seat. he is 15lbs and 24" long and growing fast. have any of you tried this seat with a baby. how did you like and what are some pro and cons about it. i have a Ford Edge and i wish it had the latch syst in the middle but i could only hook him in with the seatblet then. how well does that work? or does the latch work better.?
