Im thinking of buying a 2000 Ford Focus.
It has 59,000 miles and is in good shape.
Their selling it for 00.
But the air bags have been removed, hence the low price, and I don’t know how much it would cost to have them repleaced.
Does anyone know about the average cost of it?

I just bought an advocate – on it’s way. If you have a britax convertible car seat, which one do you have and which car is it in? Just curious if I will have a problem fitting it in my ford escape.

Also, now the baby will be in a convertible seat with no handle like in the infant carrier, what do you use to hang toys or attach toys. My baby is 7 months old.

Hi I have a Ford Mustang Convertible and i am trying to replace the old headrests with 2 new ones. My problem is that the old ones have a single prong or metal piece from the middle holding it to the seat while the new ones have 2 prongs on each side (Universal) which is common in most cars. Is there a way that i can change the leather seat by drilling or cutting to accommodate to the 2 prong system? or maby somthing even eaiser then that.

Mustang Covertible Headrest Replacement?

I have a Britax infant carrier that my child is out growing, 20 pounds it also a lot to carry in that thing. I have two Britax car-seats that my older son used that are only two years old. I have tried to use the convertible car seats backwards which I never did before my first son fit in the carrier for a year. I can not make them tight to the seat, I use the latch system and have called Britax and they are still able to push forward hardly any force. I tried a 2003 taurus(my car), 2004 Chevy cavalier(husbands) and a 2006 Jeep commander(winter car). I can’t get them to tighten down, any one have another brand that will or maybe a new Britax that fits?
I don’t think I worded it right… The car seats fit in so tight forward facing that when you shake it, it will move the car. When turned around I can no longer use a top latch, so I have only the bottom latch system to use. With the angle of the seat when you are just pulling the carseat down by the front of it with nothing to have the back aginst it will not stay. Is it tight yes.. you can’t move it side to side but if you push on the back which is normally aginst the seat of the car it rocks forward. Lets hope that you understand better, fyi my husband is a cop and in our state they are certified to install car seats, but thanks for trying to tell me I am stupid.
Okay Ford has no recommended latch point for the top latch chevy no recommendation and jeep same there, I already called all of them. And FYI again 2006 was the first model year for a commander. yikes. I had a 2005 dodge minivan like in the video and yes they come with a bottom latch points from the factory. I have no bottom latch points from the factory and I don’t much care for the rebound.
AS I said before he is they go to a class once a year. But, that’s all fine. I still can’t see how the rebounding is safe, just really makes me scared. I don’t see latching the top teather if the manufactures told me they had no safe point.
Maybe I am but these are my children. Can’t help it.

A few car seat questions?

A few car seat questions?
First question:
I have a 4yo that I would like to keep in a 5pt harness seat as long as possible. (Please do not give me crap about this as it is the safest thing for her.) And I am due with #2 in Feb. My daughter currently sits in the middle seat of our Ford Escape. After the baby is born and we have to have 2 car seats in the car is it safer to kep the baby in the middle and move my older child to the outside or just move both of the seats to the outside.
Second question:
For moms that have kept their kids rear-facing for an extended and/or in a 5pt harness what kind of seat did/do you use?
Third question:
Has anyone ever used the Sunshine Kids Radian 80? It goes up to 33Lbs rear facing and 80Lbs foreward facing.
Fourth and last question:
Does anyone know of other car seats that go to 80Lbs or more with a 5pt harness?
Thanks.

I live in IL and I am needing to know if this is legal.
It’s a Ford F150 he is high up and we would be much bigger then other cars, we live in a rural community and I need to go pick up a couch tomorrow and nobody can watch him. That’s why I would want to.

I could not drive my car away (it had to be towed). My 9 day old baby was in the middle back seat restrained in an infant car seat with base, and I t- boned a Ford diesel head on. Do I need to replace just the base or the base and car seat?

I ask if it’s legal because my wife has been kind of forced into it when she is forced to take all the kids with her. We have twins (3 months old) and a 1 year and 3 month old. So we have three baby’s that need to be in car seats. We have a Ford Explorer and only 2 car seats can fit in the back hence the third one has to go in the front. I can’t afford a bigger car for about 6 months from now.

So is it legal?

We are in California by the way.

Is The Seat Belt Tensioner Connected To The Airbag?

I’m from the UK, and have a 1998 Ford Escort.

My car has gas seat belt tensioners, and I’ve just bought new seats which don’t have them.

I was wondering if I install the new seats (without the gas seat bet tensioners) then does that affect whether the airbag still goes off or not?

Because the airbag light comes on when the gas seat belt tensioner isn’t connected doesn’t it?

Any information would be helpful!

1966 mustang safety?

soo i have wanted wanted a 1966 or 67 Ford mustang for a long time. and i need a car so my parents said they would give me about 2500 dollars towards one.

the only problem is my mom decided she doesnt want to pay for an unsafe car, and since mustangs dont have air bags or shoulder belts, and are old and break down easy, she is thinking about not giving me money for it.

how do i convince her it is a semi-safe car?? anyone have any safety reports or reasons a mustang is safe??
yeah if you can read i said 2500 TOWARDS one. meaning i realize i will be paying for most of it myself.

also if i really wanted a new car i wouldnt be asking this. dont be annoying.

Double Jogging Stroller Fit in Tarus Trunk?

Will an InStep or Babytrend Double jogging stroller fit in the trunk of an 06 ford tarus or similar car?

My son is 9 and nearly 90lbs, is it safer for me to travel with him in the front seat or between my two girls, who are in car seats in the back?

My two younger children are in carseats. My 6YO is in a Britax Regent and My 5MO is in a Britax Marathon. Both are unusually large seats. I drive a Ford Edge and there is barely enough room for him in between.

My concern is if we get hit from the side he could be crushed by one or both of the seats. The guilt would be unbareable. But I don’t want him to be in danger in the front either. I do have the auto air-bag shut off option on my car, which does turn off when he sits up there.

Looking for some professional advice…… Thx!
