Having trouble with my 2008 saturn vue. LATCH system is on the sides only so the seat is safest on the sides. I have a graco safeseat travel system now and I have to pull the front passenger seat all the way up to fit the infant seat in the back. It is not comfortable to have someone ride in the front passenger when the seat in in the back. I am looking for the smallest available. Please let me know if you have had this problem and what seat you ended up with.

I have the Graco Safeseat. It was one of the twelve seats tested by CR that did poorly. I find this terrifying for two reasons: 1) Just last night I had a dream that I had a car wreck and then couldn’t find my child (a dream like this has not ever happened to me before); and 2) My son loves this seat and so do I.

Does anyone else have the Graco Safeseat? What do you think of it?

Has anyone actually read the CR Article? If so, can you shed any light on this for me?

I bought a stroller and I am buying the matching COVER for a carseat.The cover is made for a Graco Safeseat Step 1 carseat however I have a snugride carseat. I am hoping this can be a cheap alternative to buying a whole new seat. Do you think the cover will fit?

I have a 2 year old who is currently in a Britax Marathon and have twins on the way in November. We have a Chevy Impala. I need to find narrow infant seats to fit in the back with my toddler. I’ve tried the Graco Safeseat, but it is too wide and they both won’t fit. I’ve measured the Graco Snugride and the Baby Trend Flex-Loc and both are a few inches narrower than the Safeseat, so I’m hoping they will fit, but there’s no way of knowing before buying, unless anyone has any suggestions. Help! And buying a new car is not an option right now.

I know that on the spec’s area on the Graco SafeSeat car seat it says it can safely hold a child up to 32" tall, well my son is 5 months, about 20lbs (i know hes pretty big!) and about 28 inches. Well, i feel like his feet are starting to hang out a bit, and i dont know if thats a big deal? I cant decide if i should get him a new seat or if hes perfectly fine in the seat he has. I am a little annoyed cause i got this seat in particular cause its supposed to last longer then some of the others. Oh well, but does anyone else notice this or just me? Maybe my son is just all legs?!

We are expecting in a few months, and I have the Graco Safeseat/Stroller travel system on my registry… but a friend of ours just gave us a Graco snugride carseat and base and I was wondering if anyone knew if the bases would work for either of the carseats?

My husband and I really like the Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat (and consumer reports says it is the safest/easiest to use) , but we are worried that it is not better than the Graco snugride. The handle on the Graco is SO difficult to bring up and down, and the ease of use with the Chicco was far and away better. Anyway, we are just concerned about spendend 0 for a car seat that we will only be able to use up to 30lbs. We do not want to do the convertible car seats because we do not think they are as safe. Oh, and we also looked at the Graco Safeseat and we didn’t like it.
Oh, and we are planning on having 2 or 3 more children. This is our first.
