I’m 18 weeks pregnant and my 28 pound toddler sat down kind of hard on my belly about a half hour today. I normally feel the baby move around around 8 o’clock so I have a few hours yet to feel if the baby is okay.

There is a new resident at my dad’s nursing home who can walk. The staff is forcing him to sit in a wheelchair with an alarm so he "learns" to sit still. I think he’s in the wrong type of facility and he is being restrained illegally as it is against his will..and he can walk perfectly well. A thug sits by him for more than a half hour at meals before the dinner arrives so he doesn’t get up and walk around. It’s distressing to watch as the man asks to get up.

Ahh I never thought finding the right car seat could be such a challenge. Until now I’ve been using an Alpha Omega car seat that was given to me..and I HATE it. So much in fact that I’m considering torching it on our front lawn once I have a replacement for it. LOL. Anyways, the car seat I’m considering is this one
http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?postal=l4g3g8&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441895303&bmForm=form_set_price_list&bmFormID=1220014519217&bmUID=1220014519217&bmHash=dcbd5a14ede12fb819688774b6b02e8b19c891c4
Anyone else have this one? The reviews seem to be pretty good for it but I’d like some feedback from people on here who have this or have used it. Thanks. Any recommendations for other good car seats would be appreciated too.
I need something comfortable for my baby (she’s 10 months old and about 22 pounds) Something she can grow with and something that has easily adjusted straps so I can adjust it to what she is wearing. That is my biggest beef with the car seat I currently have. The straps are HORRIBLE. They twist and are very hard to adjust. I need a car seat that is easy to use.
edit: I posted this question a half hour ago but it never appeared.
Ripped off for 5 points !

My two and a half year old daughter was recently transitioned from her crib into a toddler bed. We read to her, stay with her awhile and then leave the room for her to sleep. We have had to put a baby gate across her doorway, otherwise she wouldn’t stay in her room. After we leave, she gets out of bed and plays with her toys for a half hour to an hour before finally falling asleep in her bed. Usually, she cries for awhile too, unless we leave some kind of light on for her to see. Any suggestions to get her to stay in bed and also to not have to use the baby gate either? Will be potty training soon and she will need to have access to the bathroom.
