If a sleeping baby is transported from the car to the house in the infant carrier every time instead of being picked up out of the car and carried to a bed where they are put back to sleep, will that make the baby more likely to wake up everytime they are lifted out of the car seat when they outgrow the infant carrier? Do you think its a better idea to lift them out of the car by hand and put them back to sleep right from the start because it will train them to go back to sleep easily after being moved from the car to the house? Or is there no difference?

The infant carrier/travel system I am wanting to buy was made 05/16/2010. It is the Baby Trend Stride Sport Travel System- All Star. I have looked and found no recalls on this item. My due date to have my son is in July of 2012 so the car seat will be 2 years old. I was wondering if it is still alright to use? I know some manufactures have a 5-6 year warranty. Also, I live in Missouri and I have heard that some hospitals don’t except infant carriers that are over a year old.. Is this true?

I was just looking at the specs on my sons infant carrier car seat and it says the max weight is 22lbs and either 28 or 29 inches for length. My son is just a few days shy of 6 months and is 26inches long and weight 18.5lbs. This making me believe that by around 8 months or so he’s probably going to be around 22lbs. Maybe its just me but I thought that seemed a little early for the toddler upright seat.
When did you switch your baby to the seat after the carrier? How old and what size were they?

I am due in a few weeks. Because of arthritis issues I did not get an "infant carrier" car seat – I have chosen one of those convertible seats. So, I don’t have a baby carrier.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can best handle baby in a restaurant without the infant carrier? I was hoping to use a moses basket in the booths, but it’s SO huge! Any other ideas?

I can decide which carseat to go with, money is somewhat of an issue, I either want the Britax Decathalon which is convertible and can be used from 5 lbs. to 65 lbs. or to get a travel system then get another carseat when the baby grows out of the infant carrier?
Moms and Dads Serious answers only please on which one you chose and why you chose it.
Did having the infant carrier make it easier for going to the store, eating out, etc. Or if you used the britax from birth what did you use to put the baby in when you went out?

I had my baby shower last weekend and received the stroller I registered for from a family member that smokes in her house…..thus, the stroller smells like smoke.
It’s a travel system, so the infant carrier carseat smells like it too! I am afraid to use anything too harsh on it since my baby will be in it come August! Any suggestions? Maybe spraying down with vinegar and setting in the sun for a day?

Is it safe for an infant to be carried in a "Snuggly" infant carrier or any similar carrier in front or back of the parent while the parent is mowing the lawn with a regular gas powered lawn mower. (The mother is allergic to the mold that is in grass).

Does anyone know of a good travel system stroller that will work well in grass and uneven ground?
I’m shopping around for a stroller for baby #3, ( who’s due in 2 months!). I have two joggers that I LOVE, but the problem with them is that neither will work with an infant carrier or hold a newborn well. I’ve looked at the new baby trend brand jogger/travel systems, but I’m not happy with them because they seem cheaply made.
I’m looking for something that holds one child, cost less than 0 and will hold an infant carrier. It must work well on grass because I walk my older daughter to school everyday and part of that walk is over a grassy hill to reach the sidewalk. I know joggers, but I’m not fimiliar with the four-wheel kinds and most customer review don’t mention anything about the ease of use in grassy terrrain.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have an 18 month old and a 1 month old. I have only ventured out with both of them a couple times. Does anyone have any advice? Just running to the grocery store seems impossible, with the toddler in the front and the infant carrier in the back of the cart, there is only room for bed and milk! I have an older son (7) in lots of activities, so we are out a lot and my husbands works late hours.
Thanks.

I would like to seek for advice whether to use the infant carrier bag or stroller. Infant carrier bag will be more convenient, right as they will be place in front of us? I am confused whether to bring strollers or baby carrier.
