I am due in a few weeks. Because of arthritis issues I did not get an "infant carrier" car seat – I have chosen one of those convertible seats. So, I don’t have a baby carrier.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can best handle baby in a restaurant without the infant carrier? I was hoping to use a moses basket in the booths, but it’s SO huge! Any other ideas?

We are having a baby in May and our son will be 15 1/2 months old. We have Graco infant carrier that we’d like to use for the beginning months.

She just outgrew her infant carrier car seat. I want something that is easy to install and comfortable for her but most importantly SAFE! Thanks

my friend is due in december, when is a good time to throw the shower? i was thinking the end of october beginning of november. how far in advance do i mail the invites? what are some tradtional things to have or do at a baby shower. also when i looked at her registry i noticed she did not register for a car seat or an infant carrier, can anyone recommend a certain brand or duel product that serves as both? i know its essential in bringing the baby hhome and taking the baby around town. any suggestions are greatly appreciated! thank you!!!

Which carseat would be the best?

I can decide which carseat to go with, money is somewhat of an issue, I either want the Britax Decathalon which is convertible and can be used from 5 lbs. to 65 lbs. or to get a travel system then get another carseat when the baby grows out of the infant carrier?

Moms and Dads Serious answers only please on which one you chose and why you chose it.
Did having the infant carrier make it easier for going to the store, eating out, etc. Or if you used the britax from birth what did you use to put the baby in when you went out?

Getting smoke smell off brand new stroller?

I had my baby shower last weekend and received the stroller I registered for from a family member that smokes in her house…..thus, the stroller smells like smoke. :( It’s a travel system, so the infant carrier carseat smells like it too! I am afraid to use anything too harsh on it since my baby will be in it come August! Any suggestions? Maybe spraying down with vinegar and setting in the sun for a day?

How to put a car seat in a semi-truck

Is there any way to put a car seat (like an infant carrier) in a big truck?

10 month old about 25 pounds
and the truck is a T-2000 KW like a 2002

Is it safe for an infant to be carried in a "Snuggly" infant carrier or any similar carrier in front or back of the parent while the parent is mowing the lawn with a regular gas powered lawn mower. (The mother is allergic to the mold that is in grass).

I have an 8 mo old that weighs over 22 lbs and he is already out of the infant carrier and into a regular car seat but do i still face him towards the rear of the car or is it ok to face it the other way?? I have read 1 year or over 20 lbs…kinda confused!! Please no bad comments, just a curious mother!!

Does anyone know of a good travel system stroller that will work well in grass and uneven ground?
I’m shopping around for a stroller for baby #3, ( who’s due in 2 months!). I have two joggers that I LOVE, but the problem with them is that neither will work with an infant carrier or hold a newborn well. I’ve looked at the new baby trend brand jogger/travel systems, but I’m not happy with them because they seem cheaply made.
I’m looking for something that holds one child, cost less than 0 and will hold an infant carrier. It must work well on grass because I walk my older daughter to school everyday and part of that walk is over a grassy hill to reach the sidewalk. I know joggers, but I’m not fimiliar with the four-wheel kinds and most customer review don’t mention anything about the ease of use in grassy terrrain.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have an 18 month old and a 1 month old. I have only ventured out with both of them a couple times. Does anyone have any advice? Just running to the grocery store seems impossible, with the toddler in the front and the infant carrier in the back of the cart, there is only room for bed and milk! I have an older son (7) in lots of activities, so we are out a lot and my husbands works late hours.

Thanks.

I would like to seek for advice whether to use the infant carrier bag or stroller. Infant carrier bag will be more convenient, right as they will be place in front of us? I am confused whether to bring strollers or baby carrier.

replacing car seats after minor crash?

alright here is my question, my sister was invloved in a minor car crash (none of the children was hurted in the crash) but the back of the van took some damange and she wants to replace all four of her children’s car seats (infant carrier, two high-back booster seats ,Convertible Car Seat ) and i am wondering if this is a good idea, the childrens ages are 3 month old , 2 year old , 3 year old , 4 year old. if anyone with emt/firefighter skills or nurses could help me that would be great, the car seats have no damange but we want them to be safe
i am not sure if i put this in the right spot but any help would be great, the driver was drunk and it was a hit and run..so please help

I have a Britax infant carrier that my child is out growing, 20 pounds it also a lot to carry in that thing. I have two Britax car-seats that my older son used that are only two years old. I have tried to use the convertible car seats backwards which I never did before my first son fit in the carrier for a year. I can not make them tight to the seat, I use the latch system and have called Britax and they are still able to push forward hardly any force. I tried a 2003 taurus(my car), 2004 Chevy cavalier(husbands) and a 2006 Jeep commander(winter car). I can’t get them to tighten down, any one have another brand that will or maybe a new Britax that fits?
I don’t think I worded it right… The car seats fit in so tight forward facing that when you shake it, it will move the car. When turned around I can no longer use a top latch, so I have only the bottom latch system to use. With the angle of the seat when you are just pulling the carseat down by the front of it with nothing to have the back aginst it will not stay. Is it tight yes.. you can’t move it side to side but if you push on the back which is normally aginst the seat of the car it rocks forward. Lets hope that you understand better, fyi my husband is a cop and in our state they are certified to install car seats, but thanks for trying to tell me I am stupid.
Okay Ford has no recommended latch point for the top latch chevy no recommendation and jeep same there, I already called all of them. And FYI again 2006 was the first model year for a commander. yikes. I had a 2005 dodge minivan like in the video and yes they come with a bottom latch points from the factory. I have no bottom latch points from the factory and I don’t much care for the rebound.
AS I said before he is they go to a class once a year. But, that’s all fine. I still can’t see how the rebounding is safe, just really makes me scared. I don’t see latching the top teather if the manufactures told me they had no safe point.
Maybe I am but these are my children. Can’t help it.

When do you move to the next car seat?

My daughter is 4 1/2 months old and weighs 14 lbs- really heavy once you add the infant carrier. How old was your baby when you moved them to a regular carseat (I know it still has to be rear-facing)
