We have a jeep cherokee. -Cannot, repeat, cannot buy a new car right now. We’re dealing with layoffs and can barely get by as it is. A new booster law is going into effect in one month in our state requiring us to fit 2 boosters and an infant seat in the back of a jeep cherokee, (or a geo prizm). How the heck are we going to do this? We also can’t spend 0 plus dollars for new "radian" car seats. Do the "ride-safer-vests" do a good job? Would they even be legal and who would I ask that? Right now my oldest is using a harness system in the middle -it tethers to the back of the jeep and goes over his shoulders. Any ideas? I’m not comfortable squishing them in there so much that they are not positioned right.

I have a Britax infant carrier that my child is out growing, 20 pounds it also a lot to carry in that thing. I have two Britax car-seats that my older son used that are only two years old. I have tried to use the convertible car seats backwards which I never did before my first son fit in the carrier for a year. I can not make them tight to the seat, I use the latch system and have called Britax and they are still able to push forward hardly any force. I tried a 2003 taurus(my car), 2004 Chevy cavalier(husbands) and a 2006 Jeep commander(winter car). I can’t get them to tighten down, any one have another brand that will or maybe a new Britax that fits?
I don’t think I worded it right… The car seats fit in so tight forward facing that when you shake it, it will move the car. When turned around I can no longer use a top latch, so I have only the bottom latch system to use. With the angle of the seat when you are just pulling the carseat down by the front of it with nothing to have the back aginst it will not stay. Is it tight yes.. you can’t move it side to side but if you push on the back which is normally aginst the seat of the car it rocks forward. Lets hope that you understand better, fyi my husband is a cop and in our state they are certified to install car seats, but thanks for trying to tell me I am stupid.
Okay Ford has no recommended latch point for the top latch chevy no recommendation and jeep same there, I already called all of them. And FYI again 2006 was the first model year for a commander. yikes. I had a 2005 dodge minivan like in the video and yes they come with a bottom latch points from the factory. I have no bottom latch points from the factory and I don’t much care for the rebound.
AS I said before he is they go to a class once a year. But, that’s all fine. I still can’t see how the rebounding is safe, just really makes me scared. I don’t see latching the top teather if the manufactures told me they had no safe point.
Maybe I am but these are my children. Can’t help it.

Is it safe to put a baby carseat in a Jeep TJ?

Hello eveyone!
I’m just wondering if anybody can help me out. I am currently 5 months pregnant and I’m expecting my baby in July. I have a 1997 Jeep TJ and was wondering if anyone knows it is a safe vehicle to drive with a small rear facing infant car seat? The reason I ask is that the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler is a little more narrow then that of a car, also the back seats sit so high up that there is no metal protecting the baby since the window starts right about where the seat is… Anyways if someone knows anything about this or knows where I could find the info I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I would never drive it with no roof on and it currently has a fiber glass hard top on it.

graco infant car seat compatibility with stroller?

I have graco "snugride" infant car seat. Do I have to buy graco brand stroller to fit this infant seat to stroller?

For example,
I am considering
1. Graco Vie4 Stroller
2. Graco Quattro Deluxe
3. Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain Stroller
4. Baby Trend velocity jogger stroller

Will I have compatibility issues????

convertable car seat in a jeep liberty–help?

we own a 2005 jeep liberty and i’m wondering if anyone else does and what kind of convertable car seat you use. we’re considering the britax marathon and sunshine kids radian 65 or 80. if anyone has experience w/ the liberty and either of those seats, i’d love to know. if you don’t have those seats, what do you use? i want to keep my daughter rearfacing as long as possible. also, carseatdata.org has info for only 1 seat, so please don’t suggest that. thank you!

I have read a lot of reviews about the Jeep stroller, and see it has a lot of wheel (pulling to the left or right) problems. My husband is the runner and I am the walker, so I need something that we can both use. I don’t care about the music, just want something that can handle the dirt, grass, sidewalk, potholes and still have that comfort level for my daughter LOL! Any advice from someone who actually uses one would be great :)

I have a Jeep Wrangler G – Edition Stroller and a baby trend infant car seat. I am not sure if I have to have a specific adapter for it or not. If anybody has any clue please let me know! Thank you!

Also where would I be able to find one?

I have twins. And I’m looking for a good carseat for when they outgrow their infant seats. I know the my ride 65 is pretty big but was wondering if anyone knows how well they fit into a jeep grand cherokee? Thanx!

My boyfriend has a year old baby, and the child’s mother is worried about the safety of putting him in the jeep, especially with the top, or even just the windows off. I think she is being over protective, I have children and would not be concerned myself as long as the car seat is in correctly, and that has been done. We are concerned that the visitation may be affected by it if he is not compliant with what she wants.

We recently bought a Safety 1st Sojourn Travel System and the car seat comes with a base. We do not have the LATCH system in our jeep but we do have the tether anchor (which you can not use for most infant carriers). When we install the base of the car seat with the seatbelt you can pull up on the front of the base and it lifts right up. Not sure how to fix this or maybe I need to buy a new car seat altogether. I am due very soon so I need to get this problem fixed fast! Thanks in advance!

Which infant car seat should I get?

I have a Jeep with cloth seats, and over the years people have spilled and stains have gotten into the seats – I’ve tried a few remedies from auto stores, but nothing seems to get them out. Anyone know a good way to get deep stains (ie: coke, chocolate, etc). out?

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE

1950′s, 60′s and 70′s !!
First, some of us survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us. ( sioktong ang inumin)
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, fish from a can ( brand : ligo ), and didn’t get tested for diabetes.
Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints, pati na yung laruang kabayu-kabayuhan.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, no kneepads , sometimes wala ngang preno yung bisikleta.
As children, we would ride in car with no seat belts or air bags – hanggang ngayon naman, di ba ? ( jeep )
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. ( maykaya kayo pare ! )
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle ( minsan straight from the faucet)

Convertible car seat for 13 months old?

I am in the market to get a convertible car seat for My 13 months old daughter. She weighs 20 lbs and is 30 inches tall.

I want to keep her rear facing as long as possible and i am debating between Britax boulevard and Evenflo Symphony 65. Which one is better (Ignoring the price factor)?

Also, I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty and 1997 toyota corolla. Any idea whether these car seats will fit in?

I am totally overwhelmed with all the different brands and types of jogging strollers, does anyone have any good recommendations?

I am seeing InSTEP, Schwinn, Jeep, Graco, etc. I mainly need it just for running and/or walking in my neighborhood. I have a 20 pound one year old boy and a 30 pound three year old girl. Thank you for any help in advance!
