The latch is a metal protrusion and the door has a plastic thing it goes into. Could this be worn out? Can I buy something to install myself or do I have to replace the entire door?

I recently bought a Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit for my 2005 GSX-R 1000. My bike was previously owned and did not come with the stock plate holder so I am having trouble deciding what to do. The instructions say to disconnect the left turn signal wiring and the seat latch cable. Was this just to remove the stock plate holder? I see no reason to disconnect the turn signal or the seat cable. There are two cut wires under the seat and I am assuming those are the cables that are used for the license plate light. One wire is black with a white stripe. The other is grey. Which wire is negative and which is positive? Are these even the wires for the license plate light?

I have a 99 saturn SL2. the rear passenger door has no door handles so I went and found some at a local junkyard and solved that problem I thought. Well I went to install them and figured out that the rods connecting the handles to the latch are missing. This leaves me with no way to open the door from the inside or outside. Any Ideas on how to get it open with out cutting a hole in my door or whatever. thank you.

I own a cute 1000sf loft in SOMA of San Francisco. I have a wall of window, with sliding glass doors on the bottom and windows at the top that open with a latch. Needless to say, my HOA will not allow me to install a wall unit. But this 80 degree weather is killing us! Any recommendations?

I’m so tired of buckling my daughter-she’s five. I want her to be able to buckle herself-but if this isn’t possible at least have a seat that’s easier to buckle. Do booster seats attach with latch at all? Do you do anything to install?

I have a britax carseat that is missing the latch components. Someone told me to get the local police or FD to show me how to correctly install it. Is this true?

I know how the dash comes out, i think (screws near the "hood" latch, 2 screws above the gauges, and then u pull the dash of the clip hooks).
With that said, wiring! Im mounting the amp to the box, and i will cut a hold where the trunk ends and the second row of seats starts, how do i get to the wire after i push it towards the floor. Someone said the black pieces that the door covers (door sill i think its called), come out when u give them a tug…is that how you acess the bottom of the truck (under the carpet)? From there im slicing the grommet and pushing the power wire through. RCA jacks is a different story, i have no idea how those will get to the headunit without taking out the headunit (which i have not installed yet) and pushing the wires into the back whil the headunit is out. Unless when i take off the dash there is a obvious place the RCA wires go.
As for the deck, someone said i need a antenna adapter to convert my old cables into my new decks recieving jacks?

My roommates like to come in my room without knocking so I need to get a lock or latch for my door. I’m the one paying for my room so they shouldn’t be in here!
Where can I get one? I’ve never put a lock on a door before. Where can I get one and how do I install it? Do I need to get someone to install it?
Would a simple latch be easier and cheaper?
I don’t have any tools or anything.
If you know any stores, let me know, I’m in Canada.
I don’t know how to do this :p I’m not very handy lol
How do I know what is the right doorknob?
I do realize that I should know this stuff but I’ve never done it … and I do lack a lot of common sense which sucks a lot because then people make fun of me for asking "stupid" questions
I think that makes sense, there is a home hardware down the street
Do I need like a hammer or anything like that?
I don’t have any :p

I have my daughter who turns 3 today in a Britax Boulevard, I absolutely love this seat but in all honesty we paid almost 0 with shipping and we are traveling internationally and I won’t let airport staff beat it up like they do our luggage so we want to purchase a convertible booster to travel with. Our daughter turns 3 today is very big for her age ( weighs 38 pounds and is 40 inches tall) but I will NOT put her in a booster (besides they are not FAA approved), I want a 5 point harness like I have in my current seat.
So I need recommendations for a front facing seat that has a 5 point harness with a high weight/height limit using the harness. Must be FAA approved (airplane approved). Must have LATCH and teether. Must have some cushion since we will be using it in our rental car for long car rides. Not extremely heavy. 0 MAX since it is just to travel. Suggestions?
I looked into the Nautilus and was really impressed when I saw it in person but it was a bit on the heavy side..other ideas?
Thanks.

I have taken the mechanism apart to try to install a new doorknob but the part that is stuck will not come apart from the interior locking mechanism.
I have tried WD 40 and not just tapping, but slamming it with a hammer. When I turn the key in the lock it will not move the latch. It seems like something in the interior of the locking mechanism has broken. I was not sure if there were any pressure points in the interior mechanism that would release the lock and allow the knob to turn.

I’m installing an infant carrier seat in my 06 Toyota Camry…I read the manual and i’m still sorta confused about using latch or just the seat belt or both.My car has acceptable seatbelts. I was just wondering which do you use in your sedan and what’s the benefits of using LATCH? 10 pts for the most helpful. Thanks!!

Ok I installed a new PSU to provide the power and the 6-pins for the GTX 260. My XPS Gen 3 also has the right PCIe slot also.
But one issue. The latch to on the back of the motherboard that holds the graphics card, it doesn’t fit with the GTX. This actually is a pretty big problem considering that there would be no support for my card and the card will basically snap off from its slot.
Is there any way to solve this?
