i have a 2yr old and i am expectiing a baby in a few weeks, so iwant to get the double stroller i believe it will be easier for me, at dr’s apt’s school shows etc! anyhow but what happens when my 2 yr old out grows it, for what these things cost i want to use it as long as i can, will it be weird if i use it just with the little baby when my toddler outgrows it?

Moms which one would you choose? It would be for a new baby and a toddler almost or at least 2 years old.
The MAIN features that i am looking for are
#1 Can fit into small places (like shopping)
#2 Is somewhat light and small when its folded.
#3 For both seats to recline and have sun shades

OR in your opinion should i just put the little baby in a sling and push the toddler around? I have a nice peg perego stroller that i just cannot get rid of anytime soon. I have this one:

and these are the double strollers i was looking at:

#2 http://www.albeebaby.com/graco-quattro-tour-duo-double-stroller-6k00snt3-sachi.html

#3http://www.albeebaby.com/maclaren-2009-twin-techno-double-stroller-black-with-black-frame.html

any suggestions? what would you do? or buy and please tell why! Thanks!
Edit: also the stroller that I ALREADY own has a step bar in the back for an older kid to stand on but i just think she would be too young to stand on it…not sure though..?

High Chair???

Hi, I need to get a high chair for my little baby boy. He is 6 months old. Would you please share with me your opinion and experience. I needs to deside for one and i really want to chose the best one.
thanks

I get so sick of seeing so many parents buckling their babies into car seats wrong. It drives me insane! What’s the point in even using one if its not being used right? First of all, babies MUST remain rear facing until they are AT LEAST one year AND 20 pounds. That is only the minimum though. The longer you rear face your baby, the safer they are. Most car seats can rear face up to 35 pounds. If you have ever been in a crash, remember the tremendous amount of force it can put on your neck? Well imagine a little baby trying to hold their head up in a crash. They are simply not strong enough to withstand the force of a crash, which is why rear facing can save their life because the shell of the car seat absorbs the impact instead. Now as far as using car seats correctly..make sure the car seat is always buckled in very tightly. The car seat should not be able to move back and forth and be wiggled easily. Also, the straps should be very snug on your child. You should be able to get no more than 2 fingertips between the strap and your child’s shoulder. The straps should also always be on the shoulders, not slipping off the shoulders. The chest clip also always needs to be all the way up to armpit level. I see so many moms who have the chest clip way down by the child’s waist and the straps are way too loose. If you get into a crash like that, I can almost guarantee your child will be ejected from the car seat and possibly thrown from the vehicle because the strips and clip won’t be able to keep them in the seat. If the chest clip is down too far, the straps will simply fall to the sides of your child and the child will rip right out of the seat. And with older children..they should always remain in a booster seat until they are at least 4’9. The longer an older child remains in a 5-point harness, the safer they are. My son has the Graco Nautilus car seat and he can remain buckled in the 5-point harness until 65 pounds! I included links of pictures to show the correct and incorrect way to buckle your child. I just want to make sure everyone knows the right and wrong way to buckle their kids.

This first picture shows how unsafe the buckle job is. That child would be ripped from her seat in a crash http://www.safechildofmine.com/files/187…

This is how a baby should be buckled with the straps nice and tight and the chest clip up at armpit level http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/c…

At least watch this short a video about the importance of rear facing. Its very important information http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2DVfqFhs…
Well what the heck..sorry I’m not sure why the links aren’t working. Go to youtube and type in rear facing. Its the first video that comes up. Please watch!

Baby carriers…carrying little babies…?

I see how baby carriers are handy. You can set the little baby there while you eat, or whatever. It can even be rocked. Okay. But when I see little babies getting hauled around in them by the handle like slop in a bucket, clunking against things and swinging around like the baby’s going to fall out, well, I HATE IT. Little babies (age 0-3 mo) like bodily contact and it is so much easier to just hold the baby and not the clunky carrier. Thoughts?
I’m a mother of three grown children and a Grandmother. I know there are times when you need to do stuff and that’s okay. But to haul the baby around (usually Dads) carelessly banging it around, that carrier (not car seat – CARRIER) is HEAVY. The baby is about 10 lbs and flexible.
I specified that it’s good for eating and times like shopping. CARRYING the baby is what I’m talking about! SHEESH.
Guess that’s why a lot of kids are sorta screwed up about being hugged and cuddled?
I wish you guys would READ the question. I LIKE CARRIERS OKAY? Just not the BANGING AROUND with the child in it.
People can’t read and you’re all too defensive.

Where can i get a yoda baby carrier?

i swear i saw someone carrying their baby in a baby carrier that looked like yoda. the carrier had a hood that was yoda’s head. has anyone else seen this? where can i buy something like this? it’s driving me nuts i can’t seem to find it anywhere. thank you!
I promise I am being serious here. How cute would it be to have a little baby carrier that looks like yoda?

I have average side living room and bedroom.. and we have a lot of stuff..Plan to do storage.. but no time yet..
I know i may need a lot of stuff for my baby.. like crib, baby car seat and so much more… and i have small kitchen and really small bathroom that can fit one person maybe two sometime depend on that person size.. I am trying to make space for my baby.. that is not due until Oct. and i would be moving until next year to bigger places..hopefully right now two people in this apt is fine but extra person would be more less spaces if though it little baby boy or girl.
I Only know few things i may need for my baby when it here like crib, diaper, food… and few toys.. but there so much more things we need… and i donot have that much spaces… i been trying to clean up some spaces for things.. but it seem so less spaces… And i know about storage places…but with baby stuff would not have spaces because of all they stuff.. :( ….
what can I do?
