Just wondering what other Moms do with a cranky toddler. What do you do when your child is fed, well rested, dry and still whiney? How do you keep your sanity?! What makes your day go easier?
Tips, suggestions, please!

I can decide which carseat to go with, money is somewhat of an issue, I either want the Britax Decathalon which is convertible and can be used from 5 lbs. to 65 lbs. or to get a travel system then get another carseat when the baby grows out of the infant carrier?
Moms and Dads Serious answers only please on which one you chose and why you chose it.
Did having the infant carrier make it easier for going to the store, eating out, etc. Or if you used the britax from birth what did you use to put the baby in when you went out?

Have any moms used a baby pouch, like the baby bijorn or the ergo carrier? I don’t want to use a wrap because i’m nervous the baby would fall out or slip through but the carriers look like a good way to hold your baby while keeping your arms or hands free. Are they actually helpful or useful or are they a waste of money?

Or can I just use a folded blanket instead?
My son is 2 months old now but is a bigger baby. Is this insert for extra head support or is it just to fill in space for smaller babies?
Any advice appreciated from moms who have the Ergo (with or without this insert).
Thanks!

Misty, really? I know all about Mei Tais (or "mitiahs", as you call them). I don’t like them – at least not yet (I might like them more when my LO gets bigger). I also own a Moby and a ring sling…My question was about the Ergo specifically, so yeah…thanks.
Thanks for the answers so far ("Cherry" and "I’d Rather…"). Since my son is already 2 months old, I don’t want to spend an extra on an already really expensive carrier unless I really need to (The insert is only for infants 4-6 months old – I doubt he will need it past 4-5 months). Of course I won’t let his head bobble about – I just think that there might be something else I can use instead of this particular insert.

For dads and moms out there, do you use the same carrier with your little one or are there some who prefer to use different carriers? How many of you use more than one type, say one for home and one for outings?
I picked up an original baby bjorn for myself, but I’d like to pick up one for my wife, either an active bjorn (to help support her back more), but I know she’d prefer a mei-tei wrap type carrier instead which I’d really like to get her.
Have any of you experienced your infant to prefer only a single type of carrier rather than alternating, can baby’s be that particular (at 5 weeks)??? Thanks.

I’m expecting twin boys within a month and I need to know what type of double stroller to get. I will need to attach 2 car seats so I’m guessing a tandem stroller would be the best. Graco has several types of Duo Gliders but…I dont know which one is the best. The website has mixed reviews. Any moms have any opinions or know where I can go to get the best updated consumer review.
Thanks

I have a 14 month old and will be having another baby in a few months. I need recommendations from moms on which type of stroller is best. I would like one that would be safe for the newborn yet comfortable for my toddler. Thanks in advance

Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) is issuing a safety recall for certain Cosco, Maxi-Cosi, and Safety 1st brand child restraints manufactured from May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009. There is a potential for the harness adjustment strap to loosen during use. If this were to occur, the harness may be loose around the child, possibly increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
**Please share on your facebook so your friends are aware if they own any of these seats

Oh Zorro we all know you’d just make another kid if you lost one along the way… some moms here only have one and it would take an awfully long time to pop another one out
DJG has a ridiculous amount of recalls, I don’t know how they can still sell car seats. Their products are cheap which leads people to buy them more readily than safer companies that don’t get recalled all the time.
**Stop buying Eddie Bauer, Safety 1st and Cosco!!!!

A few car seat questions?
First question:
I have a 4yo that I would like to keep in a 5pt harness seat as long as possible. (Please do not give me crap about this as it is the safest thing for her.) And I am due with #2 in Feb. My daughter currently sits in the middle seat of our Ford Escape. After the baby is born and we have to have 2 car seats in the car is it safer to kep the baby in the middle and move my older child to the outside or just move both of the seats to the outside.
Second question:
For moms that have kept their kids rear-facing for an extended and/or in a 5pt harness what kind of seat did/do you use?
Third question:
Has anyone ever used the Sunshine Kids Radian 80? It goes up to 33Lbs rear facing and 80Lbs foreward facing.
Fourth and last question:
Does anyone know of other car seats that go to 80Lbs or more with a 5pt harness?
Thanks.

my 3 1/2 month old baby boy became very fussy recently, but I noticed that he is much calmer when I carry him around. I was wondering is it too late to purchase a baby sling? he is also a long baby. for moms who had success with carrying their babies what brand or type of sling would you recommend to buy? thank you!

My daughter is almost 11 months old. She’s growing out of her carseat. The weight limit is 22lbs and she’s getting close. I’ve been looking online for carseats and there are just so many its hard to pick. Also I dont want a piece of junk but I also don’t want to pay a whole lot of money for one. I’ve seen some for 0,0, 0 so the price range is all over. I’ve also seen some 3in1 seats. Can some other moms give me advice on a good car seat that’s not over priced?

I’ve done some searching but now I want to know waht other Moms have bought and loved. I need something light weight, and that is not to hot. I live in South Texas, so even winter here is not that cold. I am expecting my little boy in November! Any suggestions?
