Would you recommend skipping the car seat carrier for infants and going straight to the convertible car seat to save money? Why or why not?

Please be specific about brand, size, features, where to buy it and so on, if you can. The diaper bags that fit stroller I have seen in stores, look narrow to me. I am looking for a bigger one. Experienced and smart moms please help me not to waste money:-) !!!!

hello have a question..my husband was rear ended tonight in my truck w/ the car seat in the car (thank god no child) britax is not open till monday…should i replace the car seat..i heard when ever a car is in an accident the car seat should be replaced..the car can be driven…thanks for your advise
i looked on britax website and it is a very grey area…but i just feel like this accident wasn’t my fault why should i have my son in a seat that way fine and now has been in a accident..they are soo expensive…
i am not complaining about the price..i have the money..just saying they are expensive so i didn’t know if the insurance was going to give me a hard time ya know.. insurance companies are A@$ holes sometimes..

Riding a motorcycle is much more dangerous than driving without a seat belt. Is the seat belt law just a way for states to make money?
Driving without a seat belt is safer than motorcycle riding, bicycling, surfing, skiing, skating, football, etc

I’m a young college female who got a no seat belt ticket from a cop. Was this likely because he wanted to make money off me, a civilian for the government, or could it be that he did sincerely care for my safety? Do some of you cops here sincerely care about a person’s safety when you give seat belt tickets or is it just following protocol to fulfill quotas?
Why should the cops care whether I wear a seat belt or not? Is not wearing a seat belt a crime?

I can decide which carseat to go with, money is somewhat of an issue, I either want the Britax Decathalon which is convertible and can be used from 5 lbs. to 65 lbs. or to get a travel system then get another carseat when the baby grows out of the infant carrier?

Moms and Dads Serious answers only please on which one you chose and why you chose it.
Did having the infant carrier make it easier for going to the store, eating out, etc. Or if you used the britax from birth what did you use to put the baby in when you went out?

I recently was in a car accident that bashed up my internal hood latch (and hood) pretty badly. I was able to bend the hood back into shape, and the external hood latch works, but I can’t get the internal latch to catch. I don’t have a lot of money, so I’d really rather not take it to a body shop. Just wondering what’s the next step I can take – can I purchase a new latching system somewhere (and hood if necessary) and install that? Or chain it down? My car is a 2000 chevy lumina, if that makes any difference.

Wasn’t exactly sure where to post this question so I posted it twice. I am pregnant with my 3rd child. I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee in November. I can obviously not afford a new vehicle, and still owe quite a bit of money on this Jeep. I know i can fit the 3 car seats in the back seat of the Jeep, but it is very tight and I would like for my children to be comfortable while in the car. I have a daughter who will be 3 just a few weeks before this new one is due, a son who will be 2, 4 months after this one is due and his carseat is HUGE (i can sit in it if i wanted to). So I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get or IF I can get a small, but still safe toddler carseat or booster with 5-point harness that would give me more room in the vehicle.

I wanna start running with my son but I don’t have the money to buy a jogging stroller can I just use a regular stroller? I paid 150$ for his, it’s got the 4 wheels instead of 3.

I want to purchase a lightweight umbrella stroller. A major feature that distinguishes certain umbrella strollers seems to be the ability to recline.

Did you find that you used the reclining feature on your umbrella stroller? Is it unnecessary? I’m sure it’s nice to have, but is it a luxury that I & my baby could do without? I don’t want to spend money on a feature that I may hardly ever use.

My husband and i were given some money to purchase a jogging stroller and we are caught between 2 different ones.
What kind do you own, what you love/hate about it, or what do you recommend?

I have a coupe (car) and need a sturdy ubrella stoller with a 5-point harness, or a 3-point w/a tray. I have been researching and reading reviews like mad, trying to find a great stroller. Most that I have found, only support upto 35 lbs. I would like to find one that holds upto 50 lbs. Another problem my husband and I are having…is that I’m 5’2" and my husband is 6’2"…we need to find a stoller that has either adjustable handles, or taller ones so he won’t have to hunch.

I know I must be asking a lot for a stroller LOL, but I don’t want to waste money on one I dislike.

I cant get a car (no money) and my bike is making me so sore i can hardly pick my daughter up. I was looking into buying an electric scooter and was then wondering how am i going to transport her in it.
I need something motorized that does not need a license, and runs on the sidewalk.
