My daughter is 20 months old and will only take naps at home in her toddler bed. I am a stay at home mom so she is used to being at home everyday, but it becomes an issue when we go visit family or stay in a hotel. I am at my parents house visiting today and she skipped her nap. I can tell she is sleepy, but she just won’t lay down and fall asleep…any ideas?
i love to rock my son to sleep during his nap. hes getting taller so its not easy ne more to get him from the rocking chair and into hi crib without waking him up. what are some ways u guys do it thats makes it easier?
My 13 month old daughter currently sleeps in a crib, but she always wants to sleep in my bed when I lay her down for a nap.She doesn’t want to when I am there, but just when she is going to sleep on her own.Whenever I go to stores and there are toddler beds, she always runs and climbs on them to lay down.Is it worth a shot or is it still way too early?
I am worried he is going to start trying to refuse naps. What can I do to prevent this?
He must nap, and the crib is not a problem at all right now, except he is getting big enough to climb out of it, so he needs a bed.
I want to make sure it is a smooth and easy transition, and I want him to know the toddler bed does not mean naps are now optional in any way.

My baby has never been able to sleep in the stroller and it would be great if he did especially when we’re out.
He naps in his bed, but when he gets tired and we’re out he won’t nap in his stroller even if we’re on a walk.
How many times does a newborn need to nap during the day and for how long?
My two yr old just started climbing out of crib, and I am going to change his crib to a toddler bed tonite, but I wanted to know from parents, how they kept there kid in bed for nap and bedtime? What methods worked w/ your kids? Thanks!
My son will be 1 at the end of the month. My husband seems to think it is the right time for him to be able to sit in the shopping cart seat. I have still been keeping him in his car seat. It just didn’t even cross my mind to put him directly in the shopping cart yet (mostly because I hope he takes a nap while I shop! LOL) When did you start putting your little one in the cart?
My son is nearly 18 months old now, for the past few weeks he hasn’t wanted to have a nap during the day (well only on the odd few days).
This seems was quite an early age to grow out of naps, what age was your toddler when they stopped?
Thanks
The four fang teeth in the front, the last of the teeth to come in before the 2 year molars? Bradley is 17 months old and the poor thing is getting in all 4 canines at the same time! He hasn’t slept a good night’s sleep in two weeks, he wakes up everday from his nap with a fever and drooling and he’s is grinding his teeth constantly. He calls his medicine (ibuprophen) "satin" and constantly whines that he wants "satin" which tells me he is pain a lot (I try to only give him it at night). When did your toddler get their canines and how did they do with them? Any suggestions for helping the little guy? Orajel is useless and he hates frozen washclothes.
Very Proud Mommy: I ALMOST felt stupid…..until I made sure I WAS right about calling them canines.

My baby is 7 weeks old now and wouldn’t sleep day time(she probably nap 20 to 30 mins here and there). However, when I put her in the car seat, she falls asleep and can stay asleep for more than an hour( probably 2 to 3 hours sometimes). Is it ok to leave her in the car seat to nap?
