Do you swaddle your newborn baby when you travel long distances?

I was just wondering bc I am interested in using the sling/carrier, however I am scared that it might hurt the baby bc newborns are fragile. Why in Canada and the USA is it the law to own a baby car-seat, before you are allowed to leave the hospital?

I mean, that’s really random. Like saying you must buy sandals before you are allowed to leave Pizza Hut.
People, please explain yourselves. *sigh*

So there is also a law that states you must own a car? I’m assuming if you don’t have one, the hospital will provide you with a free car and car seat?

Otherwise, that would not make any sense. Like the State would really take your newborn baby from you because you are not rich enough to buy cars….

I had a nuclear stress test four days ago. A loved one is in the hospital right now and will be giving birth within the next 24 hours. Is it safe for me to be close to the mom to be? Is it safe for me to be close to the newborn baby when she’s born?

On most descriptions for swings on BRU website, it says the maximum should be 25 lbs.

But it never tells you when the baby is old enough to be put in a swing.

My husband and I had a newborn baby which we were told had no claims against him and that all relatives had turned the baby down. We had him only one week when the court was petitioned by the aunt and uncle for custody. They were awarded visitation. Our agency provides a neutral meeting place for us because of our contractual agreement.Their attorney gave them our phone number and address even though we are listed as confidentilal parties on the legal documents.

We filed a complaint with the Bar Association but I need to know if there is any other action I can take against the attorney? The aunt has called me twice already.. I relinquished the baby to the agency for our own safety. She had no excuse as to why she would give our address to the relatives thus thwarting our hopes to adopt. The father has a bench warrant for his arrest for a former ticket.

My husband has a 2007 Toyota Tacoma access cab. We have a newborn baby and plan on putting his rear-facing car seat in the back seat. The owner’s manual gives instructions on installing an infant car seat into the truck. Is the Toyota Tacoma child restraint system safe? I figured it had to be safe if they provide this as a safety feature on the truck. I just want to make sure that the truck meets the same safety requirements as my 4-door car. The car seat is mainly put in my car, but we need to use my husband’s truck this week. Please let me know if you have used a car seat in this truck.
The infant car seat we are using is the Graco Safe Seat.
