This has been bugging me: I keep finding things like blankets with feet, bulky infant snowsuits, strap covers, bundle me covers with pads that go under baby, and head positioners to be used in infant car seats. It doesn’t make sense since car seat companies and the safety researchers say no. So many parents assume that because it’s sold and the package says it’s safe, then it must be. And, why not? I’d believe it, too, if I didn’t know any better.
Shouldn’t it be illegal for them to even be sold in the first place?
I do live in a cold weather climate–we use Kidopotomos covers that have elastic going around the entire outside of the seat which doesn’t interfere with the way the seat works at all. Snowsuits are unnecessary–use a blanket over the baby.
I’m not talking the head positioner that comes with the Graco seat–I’m talking about the ones that you buy separately (snuzzler, etc). The ones that haven’t been crash tested.

Hi, I am an international student and I am planning to apply for being a MUN chair. I am struggling with the motivation letter now, so can you please tell me the essential things that must be in the letter, and some ‘fancy’ sentences that makes the letter look professional?
I have been in MUN for past three years, and participated in several conferences.
Thank you so much for your time.

A guy at my high school had a ‘57 Chevy fuel-injected Bel Air. I recall that it had a carved out bench seat for the floor shifter. I don’t know whether a 3-speed or 4- speed, but I remember the carved out seat.
Am I delusional? I’ve watched numerous car auctions on the tube, and every one of them has a straight bench seat.
Help me out.

can you give me tips?
My son is about to outgrow his infant seat (2 more pounds to go!) and then im not sure what i am going to do! I have a small eclipse and there is no age requirement for turning the child where i live so i am seriously considering turning him around 8 months - which is when i believe he will reach the 22 pounds. Im hoping it takes longer though - but at this rate i dunno! hes gained 3 pounds this last month.
Also my infant seat goes up to 22 pounds but he is still fitting right now, his legs don’t hang over or anything. at his last app he was 26 in. it goes to 28 in. would it be horrible to keep him in the seat over the limit? thats the only other alternative i see as of now??

Our newborn daughter is healthy but she’s small,4.8 pounds. The car seat we bought has a minimum weight limit of 5.5 pounds. Will it still be okay to use or do I have to buy another one?

I just got two newborn kittens (3 days old) & I have a 7 year old dog. My dog doesn’t freak out when he sees the kittens but when he tries to sniff them we get afraid he might do something because he might think them to be toys.
Also my dog is a german shperd mix, so as you can see hes a biig dog, and the kittens are just soo small.

I have a two and a half year old son who has grown out of his actual high back car seat and im wondering if he is big enought to be able to just use a booster car seat because i would rather not spend 110 dollars on another high back car seat if he will only be in it for 3 months or so. He is approximatly 3 feet tall and 40-45 pounds.

We live in San Diego and need our carpets cleaned DESPERATELY. I have not heard great things about the mainstream companies (Stanley Steemer, etc..)
Any ideas that are still safe for a toddler to climb around on afterwards?
Thanks.

We were going to put a board under the mattress so that its firm enough and flat. Would this be ok? has anyone else used a travel cot for a new born?
