I thought about getting my son a toddler bed with our tax return. He’s only 17 months old though. Should I wait? He’s my only child so I’m not sure what age is a good age to get him used to sleeping in a toddler bed. He’s a very restless sleeper, so I’m nervous he may fall out.

My daughter 18 mos, kept climbing out of her crib so we had to get a toddler bed, she sleeps in it but wakes up 3-4 times a night and gets up and bangs on her door till I go in there then I have to try to get her back to sleep. So I want to know how YOU did it? Thank you and any advice is appreciated

My son is 20 months old and sleeping in a toddler bed. He is fine going to bed, but every night I am woken up by him at the side of our bed. He spends the rest of the night between my husband and me. How can I get him to stay in his bed? Now that he’s in a toddler bed he can easily get out and does . . .every night. I don’t want to revert back to his crib because I feel like we will eventually be facing this same problem whenever he goes to a ‘big boy bed’.

In your opinion, what age should I child go from a crib to a toddler bed or twin size bed?

My girls are 17 months and are tiny for their age so they haven’t converted to a toddler bed yet, but they flip around so much that I can’t even put a blanket on them (I do but in a few hours its in a ball at the other end), so I was wondering when did yours settle down enough to use a pillow?

We just brought home our newborn and we are planning on co-sleeping. Our daughter is used to co-sleeping but I dont want all four of us in the same bed at night. Would it be ok for me to put a gate up in her room so she has to sleep in her toddler bed…even if she has to cry it out? To me this seems harsh but I am running out of ideas. She is a light sleeper and would wake up whenever our newborn cries. Any suggestions?

I’m not getting her a toddler bed just yet cuz she’s only 15 months old, but I was thinking about it today because when we were at the store today she saw a toddler bed and wouldn’t stay off of it! She goes down great at nap and bedtime, I just lay her down with her paci and she goes to sleep (she may fuss for a few minutes). Do you think she’ll transition well?
How did you get your toddler used to his/her bed?

I have the Graco Lauren crib and so far have had a pretty decent experience with it. I have looked at the directions for converting it into the toddler bed, but it looks pretty high off the floor to be used for a toddler even with the mattress at its lowest setting. Has anyone actually used the bed as a toddler bed? Thanks!

We are getting my 18 month old daughter a toddler bed today. She has gotten into the habit of sleeping in our bed. (I made the mistake of letting this happen because she got sick a while back, and I wanted to have her close so that I could watch. Paranoid first time mom that I am.) However, it is time that she be in her own bed. Any suggestions to make this work. We HAVE to make it work! Thank you.

I had a toddler bed given to me, but there is nothing on the bottom to support the mattress. It is the size that holds a crib mattress. Does anyone know what comes with it standard? It looks like Little Tykes doesn’t carry this one anymore.

Right now she sleeps in her play pen in our room and when she wakes up she usually end up in bed with us. She is 19 months old and we feel like its about time she slept in her own room! Would you recommend a toddler bed? Also, how would you go about this transition?

One of my daughters decided to paint her bedroom with chocolate syrup while I was laying the baby down for a nap. I got the syrup off the walls and bedding, and have a carpet cleaner for the floor, but no matter how hard I scrub, it seems to be staining her toddler bed (the plastic on it). It is purple, so I can’t use diluted bleach water. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, because she just got this bed for Christmas. Thanks.

We looked at cribs for the first time today and I am left with tons of questions, as you can imagine. My main one right now is(I’m sure there will be many more)…. Is there a specific type of crib that allows baby to remain in the crib until they reach the ability to sleep in a toddler bed or do they all have this quality? How do you know if they have this quality, because this is what we are looking for.
This is my first if you can’t tell. lol So I really appreciate your comments.

My twins are almost two and have learned how to climb into each others cribs. Sometimes they fall on the floor when they do this, so I’m thinking toddler bed time. Should I give them seperate beds, or should they share a queen bed? They shared a crib until they were 7 or 8 months and would fit any more.
Do you think it would be harder with one bed or two? And do you think if they are in the same room still that it will even be possible to keep them in their beds at all? How do I even attempt this?
