I’m going to be having a baby soon and I was wondering whether it would be easier/better to use an infant carseat (carrier) that I can easily take in and out of the car with the baby still in it or to use a convertible infant to toddler car seat instead?

We had our daughter in a Graco SafeSeat Infant Car Seat. My husband dropped the car seat with our daughter in it. Thank goodness our daughter was not hurt, she didn’t even wake up. The car seat cracked, so we are looking for a new car seat. Is she to small to move to a convertible toddler seat? She is 6 months old and 18lb, and probably around 27in long.
If so can you recommend a good toddler car seat?

This will be our second baby and since we went through so much money with the first we wanted to make this time a little easier.
Our baby is due in 3 weeks and since the weather is starting to warm up would it be a good idea just to buy the infant toddler car seat and just remove her when we are going out?
I was also going to buy a baby carrier so that i could carry around the baby and have my 3yr old in the bugy for when we are at the store.
Also, i’m torn between the whole stroller thing too. I don’t want to buy a double stroller since my son is almost 3.5 he wont be in it too long anyways.
People with two children, what do you do with outings? What’s more convenient??

I’m basically looking for a stroller than handles well, and folds up conveniently to go in car trunk, that can connect to a real car seat for toddlers / young children. The Orbit seems to do this, but I am wondering if there are other examples out there. My sister has used the sit ‘n’ stroll but says the quality was terrible and it isn’t much good as a stroller.

I have a very nosy friend that always thinks she know what best for(MY) kids, she tells me that my daughter shouldn’t be in a booster seat because the are not safe. My daughter just turned 3 and meets all the requirements for a highback booster seat. Either way I think my friend should raise her kids how she wants and mind her own business but, is she right that I should keep her in the toddler car seat until she weights to much(50 lbs)

i have a toddler car seat and a infant car seat for a girl. can i switch the covers so the boy toddler cover is on the infant seat and the girl cover is on the toddler seat?

My son is 6 mths old and in an infant car seat (Peg Perego) and he is rear-facing. Soon enough we will need to get him a chid toddler car seat. Which one is the best out there in the market and at what age or weight should we face him forward?

My son outgrew his toddler car seat. His grandmother bought him a booster seat that uses a belt only. I think that he is too young to use just a belt. I would feel safer if he were in a five-point harness. What is your experience? He is very big for his age. He is 36 lbs and 28 months old. Thanks

He is still in a five point harness now. I just want to know what type of booster seat is the best . They make boosters that use a five point harness.

We have a toddler car seat in my Ford Taurus. When we tried to install it in my husband’s 2001 F150, it was very unstable. We need to be able to have a car seat in both vehicles. HELP!

my son is 9 months old and is outgrowing his infant car seat. Should I invest in a 3 in 1 or should I just get a toddler car seat and then a booster seat later on?? Im planning on having more children, hopefully they will be 2- 2 1/2 years apart. do the 3 in 1 seats expire after 6 years like the infant seats do?

Does it honestly come in handy to have a car seat that you can just detach and carry inside? Our car seat doesn’t do that, which is a shame because it was 0…. My daughter will be born in the winter time so I would like to just be able to throw a blanket over the car seat and bring her inside just to make sure she doesn’t get sick, rather than take her out (wake her up if she’s sleeping) bundle her up, and sprint for the house….

I found one that I really like. It’s used, but I think it would be ideal, and It’s not very expensive. When she outgrows it, I can always pass it down to other friends/family who are expecting as well….Should I get it, or would it be a waste of money??

BTW- I plan on using the other car seat later, because it is an infant-to-toddler car seat…it just doesn’t detach or have handles….
This is the car seat that we currently have. It was given to me as a gift from my mother… I don’t want to offend her and not use it, and I can’t take it back because I don’t have the receipt for it and I don’t want to ask for it…
