Tell him that he gets to watch no DVD’s until after nap. He can only go outside after he has had a good nap. He can have one M&M of whichever color he wants, after he has a good nap…
take a nap with him
Just changing beds the toddler shouldn’t start refusing naps if he really needs them.
I think you are borrowing trouble before anything really happens.
The very best option here would be to get a crib tent so the child cannot leave the crib without you helping him. That way he’s safe, but can still sleep in the crib if he wants to. It definitely will not be a smooth transition to a big bed if he does not feel comfortable sleeping in it yet! Also, does the bed have a rail? It really has to even if it’s big because he could easily roll out. Anyway, the crib should really still stay an option until it’s absolutely clear that the toddler is ready to move to the big bed — otherwise there will be sleep disruption, for both naps and nighttime. Good luck!
before moving him into a big kid bed let him know that big boys sleep in beds and he has to take a nap everyday
lay with him till he falls asleep while ur rubing his back trust me it works i do this all the time
