I have been starting to notice lil things like that too! He fits the car seat, but it does make you wonder if he’ll fit in it up to 30lbs. Mines the same weight limit but Chicco brand. Diapers and clothes too! He was growing out of newborn clothes (like sleepers) around 2 months because he was getting long. He is already in a size 3 as of a couple days ago, when a size 2 could no longer contain anything well. I guess we just have some growing healthy lil guys!
It’s different for every baby. My son outgrew his infant carrier at 6 months, and his seat only went to 22lbs, but even at 17 lbs it was a tight squeeze so I switched him into a convertible. As far as clothes…my son has always been over the 50 percentile for his height and weight for his age, and I find he lasts in clothes longer than the weight limits. I think it’s because he’s tall and skinny. He’s 18lbs, but he’s also 28 inches tall, so it makes him slender. He’s 7 1/2 months now, and can still wear 0-3 month onesies with the "onesie extenders" I bought. 3-6 month onesies fit him perfect and 6-9 month onesies swim on him because he’s skinny. As far as outfits go, he’s definatly still in 3-6 months, because 6-9 month pants fall off his butt. Sleepers he is in 3-6 or 6-9 depending on the brand. Those I find he grows out of a little quicker than the others because they have the feeties and he needs the height of the bigger size. Diapers generally fit pretty well. He’s been in size 3 for several months now, and I’m anticipating him being in them for quite a while because they go upto something like 26 or 28 lbs.
